im going on an 8-10 hour drive with my extremely asthmatic sister to Missouri for Christmas. I consume about 200mg of nicotine a day (that’s a lot) and I can go about an hour between doses without cravings. I am normally a DL vaper but vaping DL in her car is just absolutely not an option. We discussed the situation during thanksgiving and what came out was I would get the lowest stink lowest vapor system I could find and we’ll see how it goes.

Since we’re driving an auto switch device I can leave between my teeth makes the most sense, so I am in the market for a high nic pod system.

The juul, evil as I consider it actually makes a certain amount of sense here. The pods are ridiculously expensive though. So I’m looking for other options.

Boxes to check:
-Auto switch
-Ability to use very high nic juice (which will hopefully make for less vaping)
-low vapor output
-unobtrusive odor
-ability to refill pods (I DIY so I can make a juice that meets requirements)

Personal preference: no MicroUSB2 port. (They’re unreliable and annoying)

I have considered also just buying an innokin zenith and dropping it on a big mod I already have. I lose the auto switch feature though.

I seek council from those more knowledgeable about pods than I. What is my best option?

I actually think the Juul would be the perfect application for this and for stealth vaping... If you think you will ever use it again for situations like this, I would say the Juul. I mean once you have the device, yeah, the pods aren't cheap but if you ever need them again, they also aren't ridiculous for occasional use.

I'm also going to suggest like, springing the 3 bucks for a can of American general and seeing how it works. Because it's going to be cheaper than any pod you get.

American General is Swedish Snus but sold in the US under that name. It's like 3 bucks a can where I live. My kiddo was very disdainful of my new habit at work, and was like, "Mom, that's what all the homeless folks use!" So I told him the homeless were smart and resourceful and whatnot, because frankly, that's a good amount of harm reduction for 3 bucks. If you snus, you may find it easier not to vape for long periods (and my longest was this one day I worked 11 hours straight and did not vape one time, and I totally lived through it.)

It's pretty cheap, has more alkaloids and frankly when I am working, I am not in need of hand to mouth action, and like, it's been Super Awesome for Me.

It was just a thought. It is like eleventy billion times better than nic lozenges. I still prefer vaping, but it's pretty useful (I don't want my work to ever know I vape... They've all been brainwashed to think it's Satan personified, I would probably be LESS vilified for being a smoker.)

It might save you some money if it works for you. It completely works for me and I was a 3 ppd smoker. Might save you buying a pod like , if this is an occasional thing. Just a thought.

Juul, bro. Yes, a bit pricey. Delivers a really nice nic punch. Stealthy and unobtrusive and if you were to hold the hit in for a few seconds, little to no vapor. This may or may not be a good thing though (makes me cough some doing this, most likely the PG). I stealth vape at work even though my supervisor knows i do it ( is that even stealthy at this point?) The draw is more like a real ciggy and the nic hit is, well for lack of a better term, nice. And like someone else pointed out the pods can be refilled a couple times if you're of a mind to do that (looks kinda tedious to me). Personally, im not a bit disappointed with my juul though. I found a niche for it in my daily vaping routine.

You should check out the Vuse Alto.... I picked one up at a convenience store 5 days ago and it may tick all your boxes. Longer battery than the Juul and I've refilled the pod so far 5 times with no effects or leaking.

I picked up some Nic Salts at 50mg and it may become my go to device. 2 ml a day versus 10 ml a day with my DL squonk mod.

Battery life is lasting all day for me and it takes only an hour to charge. Big win.

I like the Minifit a LOT, but it does have a press button. Not a big deal to me when driving though.

I also use the SMOK Novo. It originally came with 1.2ohm coils I believe, but 1.5 ohm are now available as well. I prefer the 1.5ohm coils, better battery life, and I'm using high nic salts anyways. It is draw activated, the battery life with the 1.5ohm coils almost matches the Minifit for me.

Using 30mg or higher nic salts, I can get a almost a full day without having to charge. 45mg nic salts, and I'm not even needing to vape that often. The pods for the Minifit are even rebuildable if you don't mind working with something that small. I use 1.5ohm NR-R-NR wire for the coils.

I've not used a wide variety of pods systems, I primarily use them when travelling, needing to stealth vape, or carry as a backup device. Honestly, for the price of the two systems above, I'm not worried about longevity. With how small they are, I will probably lose them before they die.

I'm a big fan of both of the above two devices, but the Novo (especially with the 1.2 ohm coil) will put out a pretty decent cloud if you try to. The Minifit is more manageable if you are trying to stealth vape.

I’ve only tried the Juul and Juno. I. Was into sub-ohm vaping and all that business but unless I had a high nic juice I was really never satisfied and would vape continuously all day and night. I vehemently opposed the disposable pods at first mainly due to the cost. I had a mech mod explode on me a couple of weeks ago. User error? Probably but it could have been a couple of things. My wife had a Juno kit that she bought me as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. Needless to say she gave it to me early to try. I am really liking this thing. The tobacco flavor is the best I’ve ever tried. As with all pod systems you’ll get a little popping and spit back here and there but overall very satisfying. I have a Joyetech Exceed 19 and I’m switching back to the 1.2 ohm coils for it and switching over to salts. YMMV, but I hope this helps.

The Eonsmoke is a Juul-compatible that works well (I am not a fan of their flavors though). It work the same as the Juul but seems to require a little harder pull to trigger it. (30% off with coupon from Retail-me-not)
There is a refillable pod by "Blankz" that IMO works much better than the Eonsmoke or the Juul pods and it is designed to be refilled. I've been using them with 50/50 with no problems after 5 or six refills. They are much easier to work with than the others. I have never refilled a Jull pod that did not leak.
Hope this helps.
