thanks Mou..i know all that already (minus the specifics on that facility)...and have already been in discussion with Pedro...
the tracking info has not moved since the 26th (i believe) of October. I am awaiting updates from Pedro about a new one being made.
That still does not change the fact that we are rapidly approaching 4 months and i keep seeing people in lists after mine getting their
devices. I am not mad, i am frustrated...yes mail can be frustrated but that doesnt change that it has almost been a 1/3rd of a year...which woudlnt be bad if others had not received theirs either
I am a patient person and have been polite the whole time...but i will not try to push it off as if i am happy with it or that it should not be happening.
Simply, i am a customer, i have paid for items and they did not come...that is not my fault yet i am the one that has to deal with the fault. When they do arrive (even if being made again), i will be happy but that happiness is marred as i know my personal business was not clean and fast and nice...and when people ask me about the service i can not say it is good
should i be reimbursed in some small way for my lack of equality when it comes to shipping and delivery? Well, i dont see why i should have to pay the same shipping fee that everyone else pays when my item is not delivered. shipping woes happen...btu that does not change the fact that i have paid for somethign that has not arrived. shoudl i be discounted on the price of the PV? Well, i paid the smae amount as everyone else, yet i still do not have the
device and others who ordered after me do...i do not live in the middle of nowhere and i have not been impolite in any way.
I know Pedro is working on a replacement (i have been in contact), and i know he will send it out again...but why should i have any confidence that it will arrive? in my experience i should not
I will be lambasted now undoubtedly about patience and optimistic retorts...also remarks on the quality being "worth it"...then perhaps even attacks about my character and attitude in this post and how "this stuff happens" and it is in some way an "ok" experience.
You will be wrong to make any of those statements...
i am not "angry"...if i sound harsh....i am not..i am clear and straightforward...if that seems antagonistic, you are wrong...i own the meaning to my words... "how" the words are READ...is entirely in the readers domain as i have no control over it...but if explicitly express my intentions and they are not followed that is YOUR fault...
Mistakes happen all the time, but in a business, the business is the one that should be the one to pay for them...not the customer..remaking my PV is not a present or gift...it is what shoudl be done regardless of the mistake...
Jager, little update. If you use the link I showed and put your tracking number in, there is another tab marked "Select Country". That is where you put in the destination country, which unfortunately in your case, was Brazil. Select "Brazil" and you will see that your package arrived at a place called the Unidade de Tratamento Internacional. I did a little searching, and found this forum where folks talk about how inefficient this place is at getting packages back on their way, often taking MONTHS. It is here:
Living in Brazil: Can anyone tell me what this package status means?
Looks like they received it 10/26/2012, almost 7 weeks ago.
So, you MAY want to send that info to Pedro, since he speaks Portuguese and they also do in Brazil (different dialect, but close) and perhaps HE can contact them and find out just exactly WTH is going on with your Caravela.
Also, once they deliver it to USPS, USPS will assign their own tracking number to it. You might try calling USPS and see if there is any way to find out if THEY have received it, and what that new tracking number would then be. Sounds like there are more than a couple of A$$clowns at that Brazilian facility. It may yet show up, but I would watch that tracking website and see if there is any further movement.
