Put a first quick shell together for a DNA30 powered by a 6000mAh pack. Tried to make it as small as possible but still fit the guts... There's very little unused space. Just a bit larger than a REO Grand and it powers through 9+ TGT tanks between charges so it's great for a 3 day weekend away from a charge source.

Door is secured with 12 1mmx1mm magnets.

The shell is plexiglass heated with a hairdryer to bend around a piece of wood. I was thinking about 12Ah but the shell ended up a touch shallow so it got cut down to just fit one pack.

Harbor Freight 2 part epoxy holds the ends together and was used to form a cradle to hold dna but it is strapped vs. glued into place so it can go into a better looking shell one of these days (Tibs by Bap hopefully).

Parts under $2ea: Plexiglass, Magnets, Wire, Epoxy, 1A charge board, 510 center spring pin
Parts over $2: DNA30, 6AH battery, FD 510 connector
Not a looker but it's been working great and fits a hand nicely.

I'd love to have a look under the hood.
Not sure if this referred to my post.

Unfortunately I can't show the insides. I can try to explain what it's made of.

The body is made of 3/4" CPVC pipe, couplings and 2 end caps. The long tube holds the battery (currently an 18500 but may fit an 18650) and the mech switch. The short tube is just for the 2 wires and the 510 connector.

The mech switch is made from a split nut/screw, a spring, 2 small washers, 2 larger washers and a short piece of 3/4" copper pipe.

If you would like, I can post some drawings I made when it wasn't finished yet. I made some changes at the end.
