I know for a fact that you've waited longer than that for mods in the past. :D
i have indeed

previous record for being in production was 116 days though. Longer waits have been on the list for future batches lol

i think, unless i'm forgetting

I can honestly say I could NEVER wait that long for just about anything. I can be “patient” say waiting for a fasttech order but any longer than that and I’d be having l- Need Now symptoms. Lol!!
they have just been worked on in spurts

his mum visited from the UK for a few weeks, so no progress in that time. Also a short hospital stay

waiting curbs my urge for other spending, for the most part

I love the colors on this Vicious Ant Primo Ti from stabwood mods U.K. I’m spoiled by being able to select the exact mod I’m purchasing. Unfortunately, it costs a bit more but I think it’s “worth” it for me.

Thats a VV Kylin 2 RTA which is very flavorful.

My Vert mod now gets to join the stabwood stable:

Rings on the Vert mod are pretty thin and one ring suffered catastrophic failure during final shaping ... however, a bit of glue, stabwood sawdust, and resanding allowed for something workable. They might not stand up to much use though.

Made them from the same block of stabwood as the armageddon door --- may still try do a drip tip, but doing round/cylindrical things without a lathe is less than optimal ... all I have for woodworking tools in my condo is a knife, a hand saw, a dremel (with various bits), and a cordless drill.

Finally got the Asmodus pumper 20/21. Im a little unhappy with the dull un-waxed finish. Inside the battery compartment I can actually feel cracks in the wood...If I had payed original priced for this I would've went bonkers, but since I didnt i cant complain..
Now what can I use to wax and seal this mod, so the tiny cracks inside dont open up on the outside..

Check the beginning of the thread for different products to use to achieve particular results you may want.

The unfinished wood is the reason it sells so cheaply when compared to other stabwood mods. And it’s the reason that the 1st several pages go into detail as to how to polish it or put a clear coat finish on it ourselves.

It’s not like Asmodus doesn’t know how to do a beautiful finish. I have the Minikin Boost Kodama and Silvanusa who’s finishes are just as gorgeous as a vicious ants or some other custom mod.

I guess they wanted to keep the price low on these models and the real expense is the hours upon hours of sanding then applying layer after layers of clear coat.

Here are the high end Asmodus with beautiful finishes:

From what I know about stabilized wood you shouldn't have to worry about the cracks opening up. It's moisture that causes cracks to open up and the wood is sealed against moisture.

It’s still good to treat the wood. According to Asmodus customer service use the conditioner (they suggest an wood polisher with orange oil) on the inside of the battery tube as well. It may not be necessary technically but I do it anyways.

I have an Asmodus Luna that has a crack in it. E-mailed Asmodus CS about it and they recommended using mineral oil and Renaissance wax.

So gorgeous! I love mine, and sometimes I think I spent too much... but I know for a fact I’d have regretted not getting 100x as much.
