I'm not sure if this is the appropriate thread for this so please forgive me if I am posting something in the wrong area. I just purchased the mosaic white Luna last night. I know that calling that a stab wood mod is a little bit of a exaggeration. I know with the genuine stab wood a lot of people like to sand it, oil it and maybe even varnish it if that's the right term.

I imagine because the Mosaic Luna is primarily acrylic with just chips of wood that the care may be different. I also imagine there's probably quite a few Luna owners over here.

Can anyone give me some tips on anything that I need to do for my Luna when she gets here I want her to be healthy and happy LOL and above all I want her to be pretty

Congratulations on your first Luna! Stabwood or not, you can post a pic here AsMODus Owners Club when you get it.

I’m not sure what the care is for the mosaics or if it’s very different from plain stabwood maintenance. Hopefully someone will come along and help you out. And feel free to post your new Luna here when you get it!!

I haven’t done anything to any of mine, and so far they’re all fine. That’s not saying I don’t think they benefit, they do look amazing all shined up and it probably does protect them as well. I can’t see why you wouldn’t use the same products and process for the mosaics as any of the others. The materials are the same, just the ratio is different.

Stabwood need is a simple maintenance of either orange polishing furniture as told to me by Asmodus customer service. I use mineral oil in between to maintain the wood and keep it fro cracking. Always treat the inner battery compartments as well.

it’s a basic routine maintenance for wood.

many others including me have gone the the extra route by sanding and buffing then apply a wax or acrylic finish.

I only don’t that on every mods though but i happy with results. This mod arrived with dulled stabwood and shiny resin.

Here Is before & after of an Asmodus mod before sanding and application of mineral oil and water based acrylic.

To the left is the Ultroner Gaea w Kelpie RTA
And barely seen on the right is the green Asmodus Minikin Kodama with Zeus X
All the way back is an Asmodus EOS II stabwood with single coil Zeus.

The EOS II is one of my favorite Asmodus Stabwoods. I have 4 but this is the prettiest imo. I’ve only used mineral oil on this one to maintain and nourish the wood as well as bring out the colors.

The 1st couple of pages of this thread have suggested maintenance for stabwood.

Geekvape single coil w bubble glass.

Spent most of the afternoon Using Howards Feed and Wax polish my Asmodus and Yihi stab-woods.

Put a thin layer on wait 20 minutes and wipe off with a soft cloth. Best thing you can do for your investment.

My top of the line don’t need anything but a polish because they’re finished in a poly or lacquer. That’s what makes them more expensive- the time spent on the finish. A high gloss finish can take 35 hours or so.

look at the shine just using the Howard’s on this Thor with Kennedy clone

What’s wrong? No ones got any stabwoods to share on this thread???

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Well, I did just get a block of stabwood in ... but it'll be a while before I get a chance to attempt an armageddon door (or two) or anything else.

there we go!! It’s gorgeous!! I’ve got 2 Pumper 18s but I haven’t used them yet. Do you like it?
I love it. Doesn't hit as hard the Luna, but it's beautiful, feels good in the hand, and using the squonk pump is easy-peasy.
