I really like the heavy black texture on that Saber, have been considering it on my next (fourth) Saber...I want one of the new Midi size. Been deciding on the new caps, if I want brass or silver.

I saw a black saber with brass caps it was so beautiful ( darn, freakin awesome, gotta keep this manly) Its on the Saber showcase thread I think

Is that an artillery round? EPIC!!!! The mod is cool too, but being an Infantry mortar man, explosive rounds are near and dear to my heart.

Actually it a 1942 57mm M1 Anti Tank AP projectile. My Grandmother worked in the plant they were made in during WWII.

ayo jr, having a rebuildable on a bolt is kinda dangerous from what I just heard yesterday. the bolt isn't protected. you better buy a safety fuse. You can get them for under 5 dollars and they will save your face from blowing up. But if you choose to keep vaping a RBA on a bolt with no safety fuse, then I guess that really is the most manly mod I've seen in this thread yet. loll.

Drama major in college? Batteries can fail in any mod, protected or not. It not like the Bolt isn't vented and I don't think popping a coil would "blow your face off". At worse you might slightly burn your hand on the hot mod. I do advocate protected batteries but I would vape a rebuildable on my Bolt, have in fact.

Well I have been vaping my bolt with a RBA for a month and a half +/- with out a problem. But I safety fuse is in it's future!

No drama in school. I wish. Help me get a loan first lol. I basically just saw someone say the same exact thing to someone looking to use a rebuildable on an unprotected mod so when I saw this I was like "hmm I better let this guy know" haha. I'm in the middle of researching what can happen if your RBA failed on an unprotected right now, asking a member in PM and looking around.

Basically the mod body will become very hot, dropping it at this point is wise. With luck you can drop in something that will not be harmed by the heat or on the ground. Gases will vent from the vent holes all mods should have. Once cool you can pick it up and see if anything is salvageable. Only way for an explosion to happen is if the mod is sealed with no way for the expanding gases to vent. This is the reason there was the big discussion of the original SmokTec Telescope...it did not have vent holes.

As for a rebuildable being more "dangerous" that a factory atty...I don't see why it should be as long as care is taken making the coil. Normally a short in the coil is going to pop the coil much like a fuse pops when a short occurs. Of course protected batteries are recommended for use in the Bolt by all of the venders who sell it.
