Just a little shot of one of my long-haired chihuahuas. I swear, this one actually SMILES when he's happy. He was a rescue and it's taken YEARS to get him to come near me. He still cowers sometimes, but he's a whole new doggie. He's not that bright (overbred majorly) but he's my sweetheart!

Here's Leo (Leonardo Rojo Boy, actually)

... and here's Julie (just Julie, no formal name LOL)... Leo's big sister. She has the whole "sit" thing down that we're finally trying to train them, but she's a stubborn thing and very unimpressed. She's ONLY impressed with belly-rubs.

Since I'm sure GIR feels left out here are some more of her.

Shortly after we rescued her. And they told us she wouldn't go above 40 lbs, She ended up at 88.

She is the friendliest dog I've ever met, has made friends with snakes, squirrels, cats, bees (yes they just chill with her), and the dangerous Geese out here make a protective circle around her when she's in her favorite field

So a couple months back I mentioned we adopted two little babies. One of them was a senior dog who had been in a loving foster home for the past year. She came to us with health issues, so we knew her time with us could be short..... Unfortunately she went into near full kidney failure last week and is no longer with us. All happened rather fast.

Though she was only with us 2 months we took it pretty hard. But I would do it all over again, no hesitation. Too many of the older dogs live their remaining lives in shelters.

Hi guys/gals. I have been trying and trying to up load photos using flicker and the thing. I am having no success. How are you all doing it? Maybe I forgot a step or am copying the wrong url? Thanks for any help. I have some awful cute pets to share!
What I do is upload the images to postimage.org You can select how big you want them then after you hit upload you will see a direct link. Copy that link then hit the image button and paste into the address bar.

No new photos of my doggies to share, but...

It looks like we might be getting a 3rd dog. My daughter's friend's dog had puppies and she's BEGGING for one. Sigh. I really want to say no, but she so darned responsible and rarely asks for anything. Grrrr. It's a mutt. BUT get this...

The mom dog's name is PIG. They found her, pregnant, abandoned and she was crusted with mud so they named her Pig. My daughter has already named her "almost mine" puppy... Bacon. Yes, Bacon. Because bacon, of course, comes from... pigs.

:p

So... they gave the dogs away before we had a chance to meet Bacon... so... my daughter was crushed. So, we went to the human society today to look and see what was available. We looked at several, but I think we might have found the dog. Anton was found as a stray, the lady that found him said that he did really well with her kids and her chihuahuas. I have a 10 and 12 year old and two chihuahuas. He's a 1-year-old schnauzer, cairn, dauchand, terrier or something or other mix. A mutt, he's REALLY sweet, adorable, docile, housetrained and I think he stole our hearts.

We got tomorrow afternoon to introduce our dogs to Anton to see if they all get along okay. I hope it goes well. Leo LOVES other dogs, but he's a rescue and gets really skittish around new people in new places. Julie doesn't like other dogs, but usually just ignores them and hopes they go away (literally, when Leo came to live with us, she refused to acknowledge his existence for two full weeks LOL). I'm hoping it all goes well. I think Anton would be a great fit for our family and hopefully we can give him a forever home.
