Tybin - That's one sweet looking new born you have! Isn't it crazy how lighting in a photo can change the looks. Very nice!

Jag - I was wondering who got that Mottled Mesquite. I had been eyeballing that one since the day fono posted the pic of it. Damn nice phid your co-worker got there. I hope he/she knows what they are now holding in their hands. That had to tear you up handing that one over. lol

I'll have some nice shots of the whole Phamily in a couple of days...Lacy is on her way back from Nevada.
I'm looking forward to the Phamily Reunion...they've never all been at the same table before!

Okay, here in North Texas the Red Buds are blooming (Cercis canadensis), so I figured hey, if Vapspaz can do a tree shot, maybe I can as well. What a better backdrop for the Purple Heart/Paduka Phidias than a blooming Red Bud.

Also have some small bushes that produce bright red berries the birds like in the fall, somehow they seemed to miss some so I set PH/P in there as well, really shows the Purple Heart in all her glory.

The Mesquite trees aren't showing any buds yet, so Texas Chainsawed Mesquite will have to wait...
