Playing with wick materials/configurations for IGO shape/style setups (2 posts and a platter). Love to see what you all have come up with, and hear why "that" works for you. Lotsa cotton? Little mesh? Whatcha got and why?

I was using cheesecloth in my vivi nova days. Wicks great. You're not tasting it, tho, with that much in there? I think I might have to revisit.
Not the best pic, 4 day old wick using a sweet juice. Doubled 3mm silica, 3/4 wrap of 28 kanthal at .8 ohms.
Decided to wrap a new coil to give you guys a better picture. One leg of the wick gets shoved under the coil and the other wraps around the base.
Has anyone done a comparison for; both legs of wick in the sauce vs. one end poking up in the air? Seeing your pics reminded me I had been curious about that. Lately, I've been thinking, "less gravity = faster wicking" BUT "up in air = more aroma" . . . . ?
This one is a rainbow V3 with twisted 32g coil and cheese cloth. Both end in the well. With one end in well and one up, the one up would get dark and gunky alot faster. Both end in works better with this setup. I change the cheescloth about once a week.
This in Igo-l 32g twisted coil with 500 mesh around whatever size silica came with the Igo. Works decent. i couldnt get cheese cloth to wick fast enough in this one for some reason. Think im going to try straight mesh once I figure out how to curve it without creasing it.

Dats some thick azz silica.
Thats what I just did. It turned out ok. For first time all mesh wick im pretty happy.

im still playing with it. gonna change it a little i think. But its working and not shorting or anything right now.
I only use SS Mesh With my Cobra could anyone point me towards a good starting fiber RBA? The Silica ones look nice
this is my updated wick. Still using the twisted 32g wire. Just got finished with this one. Think this one is a keeper
