side effects of high pg eliquid?

Sup guys, so I've been vaping some 80/20 pg/vg exclusively for the past few days (mt. Baker hawk sauce 12mg) and have been feeling a LOT of mucus build up in my throat, has been pretty uncomfortable. It seems to be fine for most of the day but later on in the evening is when its at its worst. Is This a known side effect or am I trippin lol

Huh, as far as I've ever seen, it's usually a side-effect of high VG. For me, if I vape 100% VG, I get some crazy film build-up on my tongue, but nothing of the like with high PG.

Hmm alright. Maybe I'm vaping too much or am sensitive to pg or something.

Yeah, the PG sensitivity was the only thought I had. I've never had a problem with it, so I couldn't speak to the effects of it, but it did cross my mind.

I can't vape anything over 50% VG, makes my lungs feel heavy, and I seem to get way more mucus and crap, with my usual 90/10 pg/vg I am a happy camper.

Also VG seems to give me to much of a "lung hit" or something, that tends to make me cough.

PG hits the throat nice and hard, and thats the way I like it.

Thanks for the link, I have been having a LOT of heartburn for no explainable reason and all the mucus buildup as described, hopefully it goes away soon

I've been vaping 80/20 for 2 years. When I was vaping 50/50 I was having tons of problems with the VG & increased mucus which was why I switched to 80/20. Haven't had trouble with it since the switch.

I have chronic sinus problems though so pg does irritate me sometimes but not nearly as bad as VG & only during allergy season usually.

I've been vaping 100% PG for 4 years now and have had no problems what so ever, if I use more than 20% VG I start coughing with the mucus build up.

I found I reacted weirdly to PG. I didn't hack up anything but it reacted with my ....... You know how they say it's unsafe to go for more than 4 hours? I went 12 days sporting a tent until I switched to VG. The worst part was when I wore corduroys the cat thought it was a new scratching post and it was embarrassing at work & church because no matter what I did, the cat would just hung on so I had to bring him every where until I changed my pants.
