Hey all, I've heard this reported, but since Modern Vapor was kind enough to send me some carts to try, I can now confirm firsthand: the cartridges for the Sidesho are NOT compatible with the blu atomizer.

The mouthpieces are pretty much identical, but the inner cart of the Sidesho is about twice as long as that of the blu, and therefore there isn't enough room for the blu atomizer's wick.

One nice thing, though: since the mouthpieces are the same size, you can order blank Sidesho carts and replace the inner cartridges with blu ones, if you're interested in adding new colors for the blu. In addition to blu's tan, black, and white, the Sidesho carts are available in blue and pink. Possibly useful if you like to color-code your flavors, like me.

For now, I still find that the best option for the blu is to refill the carts that come with the starter kit (25 carts should last a darn long time), especially if you replace the filling with PET via the Lipton Pyramid tea bag mod, which yields MUCH better performance. Since the pack carries six cartridges—five in the holders and one in the blu cig—if you have a total of six atomizers, you can attach those to the refilled carts and you don't need to cap them any other way. Extra blu atomizers are only $10 for a pair, with free shipping, so I've found having six total to be well worth it.

(There is also the option of buying blank 306A carts and 306A atomizers, but they're slightly more expensive, and after a couple of weeks, I still haven't noticed any improvement with those over the blu ones while using PET filling and the same liquid. Your mileage may vary.)

Yes, as I reported in my reviews, if you want to use a Sidesho cart on the Blu, you must also use the Sidesho atty.

It's a good idea too because the Sidesho atty works better. So buy Sidesho attys and blank carts, slap 'em on your Blu and rock on! The atty is a direct fit to the Blu battery. Bear in mind however that it adds just a little length and that prevents you from using this Franken-Blu in the Blu PCC.

I may try that at some point, but at $13 per atomizer, I'm not sure it'd be worth it for me. I'm already getting very good performance from blu's $5 atomizers, and I'm a light enough vaper that there's no way I can get through six PTB carts in one day (and even if I could, I always have a couple of 3 ml bottles of liquid kicking around), so the extra capacity doesn't really mean much to me.

But eventually I'll probably give it a go just to see the difference. As an investment, the 306A atomizer was a disappointment, inasmuch as it cost more and performs the same as the blu atomizer in my experience.

On the plus side, I'm currently prepping two blue carts for the two ECOpure flavors I've got arriving Friday.

I just had two friends get into vaping that bought the sidesho. I told them they could save some money by refilling their own carts, and when they asked how, I couldn't give them detailed info on sidesho carts. Are they based on the same design as blu, or are they different?

EXACTLY the same, except the inner cart is about twice as tall as blu's.
