me either!! But while he works around the property he often has a cig hanging - he's also missing part of his left arm so he's one handed , which I'm sure adds to the need for a hanger-on-er cig.

He has "tried" my PV's but he cant get past the weight and "girlishness". He also says it's the same as smoking and just "Trading one addiction for another" (mind you I vape 0-6mg of nic. only and mostly it's zero)

I don't bug him about it and have given up on trying to get him to like them (never really nagged about it ) Now if I could get passed the smell (Eeew) I love him but wish he'd quit ...Of course he says he wishes I would quit (I think I have and he disagrees) . So here we are .
anyway Thanks everyone for suggestions and ideas !!!! Luv this group!!

He sounds a bit stubborn like my husband...lol. So far my hubby has quit smoking in the house and car and uses the e-cig in those areas out of respect for me but still goes outside for his real one. He doesn't like that the e-cig doesn't taste and feel the same as a cig, so I know he isn't ready to make a full switch over to vaping.

He did give the weirdest look ever when my sense of smell started to kick back in and i really could smell the smoke on him and was like 'OMG u stink'. He couldn't believe it really smelt that bad to me. Now the sense of smell is sharpening even more and the way he smells when he comes back in really bugs me, then he wants to come in for a kiss. Love him to death but the smell is making me want to hide.

I just keep being honest with him on the difference I notice and explain to him i'm surprised myself at how much of a difference i notice. So now he goes and brushes his teeth before trying to come in for that kiss, I don't think he liked me cringing at the smell..lol.

My wife quit smoking analogs 20 years ago to help me quit. I went back almost immediately, but she succeeded is staying quit. I spent most of the next 20 years either smoking or using Skoal (which must have made me a pleasant companion - NOT).

Shortly before starting vaping, I had to quit both smoking and chewing to prepare for an operation, so I began using the patch. Once the operation was over, I decided to finish the patch series (14 weeks). As often before, the day I took off the last patch I was back smoking. WOW! Did that ever smell terrible, even to me while smoking. Basically, that is what impelled me to begin vaping.

Once I mastered the vaping (a week or so) I never went back to smoking, so it's been about 5 months now.

So, keep hoping, and making the vapes available to your OHs (Other Halves) and maybe someday they will have their own epiphany. I just hope you all don't have to wait 20 years, as my own OH did. Of course I didn't have even the possibility of vaping for most of that time, so maybe your wait will be much shorter.

His BIG complaint about them is that he can't hang it from his mouth while he works because of the weight . I don't see a way around the weight =(

Vapor King E-Cigarette Starter Kits

E-Cigarette, Electronic Cigarettes, refills and more at Vapor Nine (nebula is a very cheap kr808d-1 if you don't want to break the bank on it)

Kr808d-1 models, automatic - Small enough to hang out of your mouth, can look like cigarettes, no button to press and have an alright runtime (2 - 3 hours per battery).

They are 3.6v regulated batteries which is better than a 3.2v ego. Battery life is NOT an issue - two of these will go for around 6 hours and take up less/equal space than one ego 650mah battery which is also a 6 hour runtime. The only reason they can't use a smaller ecig is if they want to use low resistance gear.

I don't believe you have to have a large ecig for it to work for you. I have a lot of mods and ecigs, but I still carry a pair of kr808d-1's on me because it's not always appropriate to use large ecigs. For their size, they're very good and I prefer 808 cartomisers over 510 ones any day. The automatic battery comes in useful if I need my hands free as well.
