hello guys, i figured out a way to get around the glued switch and drastically improve performance without needing to take it apart. all you need is copper wire, a knife and something narrow and flat. ZERO misfires, improved conductivity, so less voltage drop. sigelei 19 is now my favorite mod, didn't have to destroy the switch in the process! i believe people do a similar mod as the one i show, but they take the switch apart first. this only requires you unscrew the delrin a bit. hope this helps someone and saves frustration. so happy right now :D

the copper wire makes full contact with the rim of the button housing underneath the delrin lip. also, i think it is safest to put + side down facing the switch if using this method. this is because if you drop your mod and somehow the copper dislodges from the cut delrin channel, that copper will not make contact with the battery, as the nipple will be smaller and towards the center of the magnet (if that makes any sense). you could always just put some kind of electrical adhesive over the copper in the cut delrin too. the way i have it set up, and i have taken the switch off and just pushed it several times, that copper wire is set in place very very tightly and does not budge after it is wrapped around the outside of the delrin and tightened into place.

3rd day of use, 3rd tank of juice, ZERO misfires, cost me pennies to do.

heating a sewing needle or syringe and skewering a hole into the delrin to feed the copper through, instead of the cut i made, would be safer still. i dont know for sure if that could be done, as delrin seems pretty tough. im happy with the cut for now, its deep enough, holding the wire very well. gotta make sure the delrin is screwed back in tightly though to make sure the wire is tightly grabbed through the channel, and that the wire is touching the switch housing.

Well, see how it fires off the bat. There are several different kinds of sig 19s being sold. I got the sig 19b with the nzonic cap. Id definitely remove the spring comes in the top cap on that version to expose the brass pin. If the mod fires fine, great. But i found that it would only fire if i pressed the button a very specific way, which is annoying to do after a while. So first, try flipping the battery (+ side down) and see if that makes the misfires go away. If not, then do this modification. However, if u are lucky enough to get on without the glued switch, and are able to unscrew ur switch completely, theres is a sig 19 tips and tricks thread here with a million different methods, some easy, some more intricate, to eliminate misfires. Theres another thread detailing how to take apart a glued switch, involving dremels, acetone, alcohol, boilijg water, pliers, a vise, a bunch of things that could potentially damage ur mod in the process. So if u have the glued switch, and have misfires out of the box even with flipping the battery, then try my method. U should be able to fire consistently like i show in the vid.

My method lowered misfires and also increased my vapor production because of the copper's conductivity assiting the stainless steel mod. So id do this even if there werent misfires to improve my vape quality. But like i said, u may be lucky and have a non glued switch, much easier to mod that if necessary. Good luck! With modification, it is my all around favorite mech currently (i only have china clone mods though)

Also grab some noalox from home depot or similar store. It is an antioxidant lubricant that u can put on the threads (the gray stuff on the threads in the pictures), and a thin layer on the contact points as well. This will improve conductivity and also help your threads out and make em smoother. I would do that right out of the box

thanks virus,

Just did the wire stuffing at the switch and it made a 100% improvement literally. I was having almost 100% misfires and now 100% firing. It really makes this little mod useable. Great work, I was dreading having to remove the magnet. Still having trouble with the Kick. I don't believe it's making the side connection at all. But when it's out she's working fine. Thanks again

Glad i could help MJ. Will be making more vids of little tweaks i have done to each of mods to make em work slightly better. But this mod to the sigelei 19 was the only on that i felt was imperative for the functioning of the mod. My other tweaks are either cosmetic or slight improvements to conductivity. This sigelei is the only one of my modifications that made a mod from a zero to a champ.

Curious as to how u did it, did u do it as i described or just fed a bunch of copper down there to stuff it around the button post? Sure there is several ways to do it, would love to see a pic of ur modded switch.

Also, before i used my modded switch i just held the switch and pressed the button several times and observed the magnet contact side where the copper was fed through the delrin channel and made sure that no matter where i pressed it and no matter how fast i pressed it, it wouldnt dislodge the copper from the channel i made. The copper did not budge, even now before i put in fresh batteries i give the switch a few presses to make sure that copper aint moving.

What did you use to cut brass spring?
