I disppeared into mech land a few months ago when I got a couple of Stingray X's but Im thinking about picking up one of these two sigelei's since theyre so cheap. I have two of the 30W Sig Minis that have been awesome, but since Im running it towards its max wattage, Id like to get one thats a little more powerful so Ive got some headroom and not running the chip at full blast all the time.. I can get the 50W V2 for $30, but then noticed the 75W TC model is only $5 more. Either one would work, and I have no plans on using the TC feature (way too much Kanthal in my vape box to bother with it), but Im curious as to the differences between the two as far as the chipset/software, and the quality/response of the buttons, 510 threads and pin. I have one of the first run of Mini's that the threads stripped out on after like 2 months of use (my kayfun 4 literally popped off it while I was driving one day), but the newer one I have is still perfectly fine. Im hoping I wont run into this problem with the higher wattage models. The buttons on the 30W arent bad but feel kinda cheapish and Ive already read about peoples crapping out on them. The chrome coating on both of mine is pretty worn off now as well, after less than a year of use. As far as the chipset, anybody know whats in the 75w?? The 50W has the Yihi SX330, and so far the Yihi stuff has been pretty top notch, but I see no mention of what is inside the 75W model..

I shouldve known you would have at least one of em haha! Good old Vapor Range has em. The 50W VR2 is 29.95 (the Vapor Range Oni edition is another $10), and the 75W TC is only 34.95. One of my 'vape deal' emails I got today had a listing from some vendor called Direct Vape, or something like that, that was like $35 with free shipping so I decided to check VR and what do ya know, theyre still the cheapest for Sigelei stuff (and they always do free shipping in the US). Im leaning more towards the 50, I keep reading reviews that say the plastic buttons on the 75 are pretty crappy, but I figured I might as well ask because for only $5 more I get another 25w of headroom and TC if I ever decide to use it (although I dont think its a Yihi chipset in it otherwise Sig would be advertising that fact). I dont think Ill be doing TC at least until all the Kanthal Ive got hoarded runs out and wattage wise, Im happy with 20-25w between the Mini 30 and my Stingrays. Im getting really good at being able to tell when my batteries need to be changed in the Stingray, I pull them out right around 3.5 almost every time now, but I decided to get out the Mini 30w today and Ive really missed the consistency of getting 20w on every vape. Havent touched the mini since like May and Id forgotten how nice it was..

The only thing that worries me so far about the 50 watter is Sigelei doesnt even have it listed on its website anymore, so Im wondering if theyre no longer in production.

Yes, I just got my Sigelei 50w vr2 from Vaporrange last week, it's an awesome mod.

I have a Sig 75W and gotta say, it's my third favorite mod (the eVic VTC Mini being first, the Sig 30W being second). It's heavy, and in my vaping range it seems a bit overpowered (I tend toward the extreme low end).

The 30 is a great size, nice weight, but yes, the buttons are a little cheesy and the threads could be better on the connection. I used a 510-eGo connector to shield the threads from wear.

On the 75W, the buttons are solid, and the threads also seem very solid (the eVic VTC Mini is the same, but you didn't express any interest in it).

Yeah, I really like my first 75W. Nice size yet heavy duty. Big, easy to read screen. But, then the 2 new ones were messed up :( They took multiple tries to turn them on. They would turn on and then immediately turn off. And misfired about 50% of the time. And told me low battery when the batteries were at 4v.

The 50W has cheesy buttons, but they haven't been a problem for me at all.

I'm now using more SS wire and you don't have to run it in tc so whether the mod has it or not doesn't matter much to me.

I sure hadn't expected to have issues with Sigeleis. I was pretty disappointed. And VapeNW won't issue a refund; only store credit so I haven't decided yet what to replace them with.

That eVic VTC Mini actually looks pretty cool in black, but its twice the price of the Sigelei at VR, and I cant go too crazy with the spending right now. That sucks to hear about the bad 75s, so far (stripped threads aside) my Mini 30s were all rock solid. Its funny how the 50w is the same price as the Mini now. I pretty much stick with Vapor Range for everything now except batteries. Theyve screwed up my last two orders but were very quick responding and coming through. They sent me a replacement fire button for a Stingray X instead of the actual Stingray X I ordered, and just a couple weeks later sent me a black Derringer instead of the stainless one I ordered to match the Stingray. Both times, they shipped out the right orders the same day I wrote them, and let me keep the extra button AND the Derringer, so I gotta give em props for the customer service. Plus theyre fairly close to my house and my orders get here in like 2 days tops. I may have ordered one of my Tobeco Kayfun 4s from VapeNW and they werent bad but then again Ive never had to return anything.

Roxy and Deepfried, does the display on the 50w stay bright when its on?? The Mini has this annoying 'feature' where the only time the screen is bright enough to see in daylight is when youre actually firing it. Once you release the button, the screen dims so low that you cant read it unless its dark outside or youre inside your house. Makes it really hard to tell how much battery is left, because even if you hit the button real quick to brighten up the screen, it shows the batteries voltage drop and doesnt stay lit up long enough to see the actual life remaining..

It's definitely more difficult to see in daylight. And yes it has the dumb dim feature when it's not being fired. But it doesn't bug me really. I'm simple to please. Lol

Well...I have both. I think the 50W is a better mod all the way around. I had bought 2 more 75Ws on Black Friday and had to send them both back :( They had multiple issues right out of the box.

Where is the 50W $30? I wouldn't mind another.

101vape has the 50 for $29.99 too... Sigelei 50 watt V2 Box Mod

I have two 30 watt, two 50 watt VR2's and a 75 watt. They all work flawless but the 50's are my favorite out of the bunch. The 75 eats batteries compared to the 50 and I keep the silicone skin on fearing a drop will send the metal sides flying. I also have an EVIC VTC Mini which is a stellar mod, I actually like it more than my Sigelei mods. Angelcigs has the Evic minis for $40 (plus $5 shipping or Myvaporstore for $44.

101 Vape is actually an awesome vendor, I got my first Sig Mini from them when they were released, along with a bunch of other stuff here and there. They charge shipping though (VR is free anywhere in the US) and VR stuff gets to me waaaaaaaay quicker even though 101 is only about an hour further south of me than VR is. Im trying to be a cheapskate since my financial situation sucks even worse than it did a year ago haha.

Yeah I think the 50 it is.. I read the same complaints about people knocking the sides off the 75 and Id just rather stick with the tried and true YiHi chipsets. Honestly I would just get another 30 but already have 2 so might as well go with some variety hehe.

I think I have three, but got a great deal on them, progressively through several months. You can't ever have enough Sigs.

I could wish they'd round the corners like my eVic VTC Mini, but I guess you can't have everything.
