Question about you switch mod... did you take apart the switch before putting the lock washers on? If so... please inform on how so I can do the same thing to my #8. Just to clarify... I know how to take the switch assembly out... i was just wondering if you take apart the switch assembly. Thanks in advance.

The #8 "no modification needed" spring delete mod:

I used a little Teflon tape to tighten up the threads a little, but it isnt required. Unscrew the post and fit it by trial and error. Do NOT over tighten as it will damage the battery. Adjust the post until the cap will screw in, contact the battery, and no more than an 1/8 turn more. I gained .2v by deleting the spring. Add that to the gains made by sanding the contacts and my total voltage drop is .14v with a .9ohm coil. :D

Switch throw mod:

I didn't like the long throw in the switch. I shortened it with 2 #4 size lock washers (Lowes didn't have small enough flat washers). I used pliers to flatten the lock washers and the slid them on the switch post and assembled the switch. Much shorter throw and much more solid feel to the switch.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I ordered this morning on the #19. Very excited to get it. Was initially leaning towards k100 or ccts, but at this price...wow.
#19 pre-ordered! Coupon code "VaporJoes11Percent", as well as $1.99 flat rate shipping = $28.67

Sigelei Mechanical Mod #19

Supposed to ship between now and April 26th. Get 'em while they are hot! Will sell very quickly at that price, even for a pre-order. He's got #13's and #8s on pre-order as well. ;)

Dammit! Trying to not spend money!

Just hit a plateau on buying juice and haven't bought a new genny since I finished experimenting with boring out my Aga and installing fish-wicks...

NOW I need to buy a multimeter so I don't blow up vaping my new Mech mod. THANKS. o_O

When I say "I hate you all", I mean that in the best way possible.

Trying to find the #8 or #13 with the brass top and bottom caps. Anyone seen them lately outside of the co-ops?

They are brass just chromed, read back a few pages in this thread and find a great diy on sanding /polishing to reveal brass. I have not seen them sold this way from sigelei...

I just got the #7 two days ago, last night with a fresh imr 18650 it was working fine, then it sucked. Then I noticed the bottom was hot. Took it apart and the spring was jammed down and it was starting to melt the plastic housing. The only way I could get the spring out was to mangle it. I'm new to mechs, will the brass screw and nut mod work on the #7 to replace the spring? Do I have to get the nut all the way to the bottom of the plastic housing?

Yes, you will need to disassemble the switch. Hold the pin from the inside and unscrew the button. Don't lose the spring. ;)

Good question, I think I might have some shopping issues. The 13 is a pinky switch and the 19 is a bottom switch so there's a little bit of variety there. Waiting to hear some feedback on the 20 before I get it too

Some? U've it big-time bro! And sleeping on a stash of greenbacks as I understand, lucky u! For the commonest like us - just one 'main' and a 'standby' device is all that matters/possible. Sigh!

Not too sure where you heard that, I spend about $500 a year on vape gear including juice. That's why I'm picking up a few sigeili's instead of a GG or cara.

I could use the cargo pants, didn't see them in the Arc'teryx catalog though;)
