Nice rlh4445!

This unit is awesome! Waiting for my SS mesh to put in my new AGA-T!

Can anyone comment on the batteries supplied with the Sigelei Zmax kit? What brand are they? No name on them.. Mine are working fine but does anyone know what would make a good replacement for when the time comes and would I need a new charger too?

Wellp, I've had this thing for two days. I know it's not a substantial amount of time, but I've gotta say: I'm impressed. It weighs almost five ounces and I LOVE that. I know some don't like a hefty device, but I love the feel of a solid device and this deffo has that. I mean I have some older generation Twists that I'll take out with me on the go, but for home vaping I love the feel. I also like the smooth finish as well, but I wouldn't complain if there were more grip. I'm going to buy some PV sticker covers for it anyway. Using my new ViVi Nova 2.5 with 2.4 ohm head, it has truly lasted me a day and a half before I decided to change the battery (at 3.4 V) and I didn't really have to. For reference, I went through two tanks (3.5ml) of juice. Both VW and VV have worked flawlessly for me, and have no complaints there. Let me just say, after dealing with Lavatube knockoffs, Twists and such having an OLED display has been just.....just a pleasure. It's so easy to go through the menu and it's nice not to have to decipher what the device is telling me every time. It remembers the wattage setting but not the voltage :( but I'm being nitpicky about that. Overall, I would totally endorse this device for anyone looking at it because it has pleased me so far.

I have two AW IMR batts that I have been using with it and so haven't touched the blue ones that came with the kit, but Phil Busardo assured me the batteries gave him no trouble during his usage so I'm sure they are fine to use as stopgaps when you have to charge your higher quality batts like AWs or Efests.

Same here, mate. I`ve had mine for 3 days now, and i`m very impressed to. Love the VW mode. I vape at 7 or 7.5 watts and i get a great vape from everything that i put on it. And the price that i got the Sigelei makes it even better :D

Don't use 3000mah batteries, they are too big. Stay under 2200 mah depending on the brand.

Now I just need to get on the list for the AC9. Works great with all my other stuff.

I think the Sigelei is still a bit of a work in progress. I got mine through a small coop and the organiser insisted they increase the inner diameter of the tube as otherwise it would be a really tight fit for many 18650's, so thankfully I don't have this problem and more or less anything fits. Works just like the ZMax only with a much better (OLED) screen display. It is also fatter than the ZMax. Very pleased with mine so far - especially at the price I got it at!

Just for info, I got mine in a Co-Op . Stainless steel. So far, after 4 days it is getting a lot of use . We got ours with Trustfire 18350 IMRs. I know Trustfire is generally considered a rather bottom end brand, or so I've been led to believe, they are performing quite nicely with the stacked 18350s. I have also used 18650 IMRs by both Panasonic (CGR18650CH - 2250 mAh from Orbitronics) and AW IMR - 2000mAh. Out of the three, I prefer the stacked configuration. Followed by the Panasonic and finally the AW.

For the price paid in the Co-Op, I am quite pleased and hope it holds up well over time. The only thing I think I dislike, and really, it is just a nitpick, is I wish the ten second cut-off time was about three-four seconds longer. My vaping style has evolved to long slow draws. Again just a nitpick.

FWIW, I switched mine to RMS mode as soon as it arrived and don't foresee ever using mean mode. The menu is intuitive and the display is very easy to read. While the charger we received was probably not the best, I must point out that my batts have come off at 4.17v each of the three times they have been charged. Anyone using stacked batteries in these should be aware to use IMRs, keeping the two batteries as a set and alternating which one goes in to the tube first each time. BTW , I always check voltage when batteries come off the charger. Also of note, I have find that the deeper bottom cap supports all the above batteries including the stacked 18350s just fine. My batteries are all nipple top though the positive connector inside the tube appears to also be able to use flat top 18650s.

Time will tell if Sigelei got the build quality right. I have no idea how the screen or screen cover and electronics are fastened inside the unit. My stuff generally is treated with a great deal of respect but things fall and accidents happen.

I think anyone looking to step up to a nice vv/vw bigger battery mod with an easy to read screen and feels substantial in the hand for under $100 could do much worse than the Sigelei Zmax.

If you own one of these, a lot of what I have written may be obvious. I included some other observations for those maybe considering purchasing.
