Hi everyone! I'm a new member and I just signed up today. After reading some of the beginner tutorials it looks like the best choice for me is a 510 starter kit. I want to know if there are any good deals going around right now for a starter kit. I live on the West Coast in the USA. Also if you guys could recommend deals on e liquid that would be awesome. I am looking for a manual e cig by the way. I don't know if this matters, but I usually smoke Turkish Silvers and Camel Mentol although I wouldn't say I am a heavy smoker. Maybe 1 pack every 2 weeks or month.

Thanks so much! I am excited to quit smoking cigarettes and embrace the e cig community.

Does it have to be cig sized? you can get much longer battery life and better performance with a slightly larger battery. Also what is your price range?

Hey Matt thanks for helping out! To be honest, no it doesn't. I'm pretty much open to anything. I rather not spend so much because I'm a noob when it comes to vaping and I'm not sure if I'll even like it. I'd say the most important things to me are 1) Value 2) Reliability 3) Hassle-Free Maintenance

I would go this route....

510 cig sized kit.... if it HAS to be cig sized
510 Manual Kit, Blue LED - 510 Kits - PV's and Kits

$33 these are what they are starter kits, the batteries will not last long as they are small batteries, any battery that is cig sized is small. Good for when out and about, battery will last 1-3 hours depending on use. Battery is 180mah (more mah = more use before it needs to be charged)

You will get better performance out of an eGo kit such as this, battery is more sharpie marker sized and one 900mah battery may last you all day...
$38
Smok Tech 510 Ego Kit with Carrying Case - eGo Kits - PV's and Kits

Optional add on:
I just ordered two of these, they are about 2" long, so they fit nice in the pocket, and they are only $10, will work with the charger in the above kit as they are both ego batteries. i will use them for when I am out and about.

Black eGo Battery, 350mAh - eGo Batteries - Batteries - PV Parts

Another popular option is an ego twist, which is variable voltage, which just means you can turn the power up and down to find the sweet spot for whatever device you have on the battery.

Is the Mad Vapes site down or do the links need fixing?

I really appreciate all the help and advice guys! For some reasons Matt's links don't work for me. Can someone check them, maybe I am doing something wrong lol. The 510T that Dean linked is kinda pricey. I want to get something that is a good value and possibly upgradeable in case I really like vaping. I would also like something a bit smaller. The battery life issue is not that big of a deal for me because as it is I don't really smoke that much. Also, what are some of your guys' favorite e-liquid and where can I get them?

Thanks!!

I just wanted to add that I'm not sure there is an ecig that is totally hassle free! just so you will be prepared. :) for me, it is worth it.

also, I still use the joye510 (both the smaller battery and the longer one) you quickly get used to the longer one's size and it does last longer. I carry 3 complete joye510s around with me all day (I like to chain vape and the attys get hot), so the short battery life is not a problem for me. I also use an ego/riva, and again you quickly get used to the size.

liquids. taste is so subjective, I might love something you may think tastes like old socks. I'm a menthol girl, I like halo menthol ice $$ (Halo Electronic Cigarette)

also joogler chill $ (Joogler Juice)

I also like some fruits and unflavored!

good luck :)

Hi Ac! Congratulations and welcome! I also started pretty recently with the 510 XL 3-piece e-cigarette starter kit. I found it quite easy to use and fill. You'll have the the 1st bit the "battery", then the 2nd bit called an "atomizer" that warms the juice coming out of the 3rd bit, the "cartridge" There is a polyfill in the cartridges and to fill them is easy. Check Youtube on how to do it. Because the cartridges and filler are easy to rinse and reuse, it will probably be a good way to introduce yourself to different flavor juices till you find "THE ONES" (imagine background angel music....) . I would suggest getting the 510XL (holds more juice than the standard 510). and buying maybe 2 more atomizers and 5-10 extra cartridges along with your kit and juices - but not too much more "stuff" at this stage till you find some juices you reaaaally like. Then it might be time to upgrade to an Ego-Twist-650 battery (x 2) and clearomizers. The only other thing you'd need is an eGo Twist-specific charging plug. (The 510 charger is not compatible with the Twist). Why? In my case, and it's only my case, when I clicked with a couple flavors I liked way more than the others, (angel music again......lol) I wanted something I could fill once, and vape all day with, on a battery that would last all day. Constantly refilling the little carts and going through about 4-5 510XL batteries a day started getting old. That's why I'd caution against getting all the accessories for the 510XL and just the items I mentioned above. We have some experts here in regards to which camel and turkish flavors you might find interesting, but don't tie in to just that. Try some non tobacco flavors too and definitely try sampler packs before committing to 30 mg of something that sounds good but might not be to your personal taste when you get it and good luck!

Good for you! I'd suggest buying an extra 5 pack of cartridges and a couple of atties. And then samplers of juices so you can try all sorts.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...scussion/244945-2011-juice-year-award-44.html

Here's a thread with the most popular. As you have 8 posts now, I'd suggest going to e-liquid discussion if you're specifically looking for "camels" and "turkish". Also when you buy the juice, you might want to try some different nicotine strengths to start, i.e. a 6mg, a 12mg, and an 18mg to see what you get on best with.

Thanks again for all the advice guys and girls :)

I think I am going to take some of your advice and get the JOYE 510-T XL Black Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

Is there anything else I need besides some e-liquid? Would you guys recommend getting cartridge soft caps?
