Silence About Harm Reduction is Killing Smokers
Quit or die
That's the message cigarette smokers get from the public health community.
But in fact, smokers who have trouble quitting have some rarely mentioned
alternatives to total abstinence from tobacco: it’s a method of intervention
called “tobacco harm reduction.”

Every chance I get I'm offering a short tutorial to those interested, about my eGo w a tank on it. I purposely wear that w a lanyard to draw attention. In the past 2 months, the number of interested people outweighs the skeptics 20 to1. I have half my neighborhood making the switch.
Thanks for the link. We need all the positive press we can get.

It is an excellent article, Petrodus.
My admittedly sarcastic "Oh YAWN" comment had absolutely nothing to do
with me being the OP...All KUDOS to the author.

The author (in my opinion) wrote a "picture perfect" pro harm reduction article.
She didn't sprinkle in any of the FDA Lies or make any Political Correctness
comments about unknown safety issues. Initially I thought the article was
written by someone here or CASAA.

We constantly post wishing influential people would post the truth and
not regurgitate FDA lies and or imply serious safety concerns. When we
see exactly what we have been begging for...122 views and 4 replies ...
2 of the 4 were mine.

Maybe its just me thinking this article would be received with much enthusiasm
because its exactly the kind of article we have been wanting to see published.
Maybe we have been dealing with negatives for so long...When we see such
a positive article...There's little to say beyond "good article"

I'm not upset ... Just a little confused.
Please someone step in here and straighten this ole man out...
He just doesn't "get it"

Both Elizabeth Whelan and ACSH are well known by regulars of this subforum.
This is not anything new from them, and represents the stance that they have held for quite some time.

And this is not really an "article" but just a posting on a website that probably doesn't get a whole lot of traffic by the mainstream public.

Combine that with the fact that this subforum does not have as much "growth" as other areas...
And I guess that might explain the lack of excitement over this piece.

It is a great piece though, and one of many by these people with functioning brains.
:)

It's kind of like preaching to the choir; we all agree with this and love it that you posted it to share,
but how can we get this article to the general public?
I don't know for sure ... Hopefully some will reply with some suggestions.
What I do know is it's a masterpiece and Where there's a will there's a way

Great article, but with no mention of American Idol, or JLow I fear most people will never read it, or be informed.

I live in New Jersey, where by law :( we must still take smoke breaks outside with the regular smokers. I stand around with a box mod and tank, talk to anyone interested, try to spread the word. Some have been interested, they will chat for a while but still continue to smoke. I've even brought a old eGo for some to try, and they still persist in killing themselves.

I'm not sure what brought all of us together or what "pushed our buttons" to become vapers, but it has to be more than just hearing it's better in so many ways. Wish I could figure what it was, as I socialize with so many smokers daily.
