Ive been vaping for about 3 weeks now, and have been using an eGo. I LOVE a lot of vapor production, so I DIY my juices with as much VG as possible. So Thursday I ordered a Silver Bullet and am (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive (crossing fingers and toes that it gets here tommorow). My only question about the Silver Bullet is what is the best atty to use, one that produces the most vapor, and where to buy it? Throat hit isnt that important to me, but vapor is VERY important.

P.S. I would have posted this question in the "Ask A Veteran" section but this is my first post

Low-resistance atomizers on top of the 18650 battery are the shiznit for the SB. (That's a good thing :D) I picked up a pile from Eastmall and am very satisfied.
Going 6 volt with two CR123a 3.0 volt batteries and "regular" 2.5-2.7 ohm atomizers wasn't so good. Very hot, harsh vapor. But, if you're inclined to try cartomizers, get some 3.4 ohm Mega cartos from Nhaler. Those things are great on 6 volts!

A 901 or 510 at 6v, 510 at 3.7v or LR atty/carto at 3.7v....

801s ALWAYS produce huge vapor when dripping, but they are rather large...I use em when Im around the house, but when out n about, 901, 510 and cartos all the way.

This is just what I have settled on, but like others said, try them all and see what fits YOU best! I get my hardware (atties, cartos, carts from Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier) my juice from various US vendors and my mods from....well, wherever they come from. I love my SB and have many mods....altsokes OMeGa will be my next tho ;)

crashtestjeep: "altsokes OMeGa will be my next tho"... I was considering the Omega, but after watching some review video's on youtube, i didnt want it to get something that would tarnish, or the top "push-down" becoming loose like I seen in one of the reviews. Another thing was I wanted a button instead of pushing down on that top part. Overall the Omega looks awesome, but the SB looks a tad bit more compatible with what i'm looking for.

Quasimod: "The 901 is a favorite for people who don't like a lot of throat hit"... I like throat hit, it's just not nearly as important or satisfactory to me as the amount of vapor.

I want to vape it at 6v and ordered the 4 pack of Tenergy 3v rcr123a's (with charger) from batteryjunction.com. From what I can tell (im not too smart about this stuff yet) it looks like i could be vaping as high as 7.2v. Thats the reason for my concern about which atty i should be using.

On the same order as the SB I also picked up an 18650 battery (in case the ones from batteryjunction arrived later than the SB) and a LR 510 atty. I have a bunch of regular 510 atty's, and the LR thats coming with the SB.

Any comments or suggestions (and reasons for them) are appreciated : )

Direct inhaling (takes a little practice to get right) makes ......ed amounts of vapor, but it's pretty rough on the throat, especially at first.

The reviewer may not have realized that part of the OMEGA is adjustable. You use an Allen wrench. The Silver Vein finish can't tarnish. It comes in other finishes, as well.

If you plan on HV vaping, you should consider trying an HV atomizer. I use regular 510's @ 6V, but they don't last more than a week or two. It took some practice and experimenting to get them to last that long. 7.4V is redonkulous, try 5 and 6V first.

Don't use the LR atties @ high voltage, they will fry in a hurry.

See, I know very little about regular, LR, and HV atty's. Thats why I need to know what to get that wont burn out or blow up or whatever, and gives a lot of vapor.

I tried that direct inhale thing with my eGo when I read your post, and it is pretty rough, but it gave me a rush like analogs do. One problem ive had staying away from analogs completely is when I first wake up, the PV doesnt give that jolt that an analog does. Ive had 2 analogs this month, both times was when I needed that jolt right after I woke up. I think this direct inhale method may be the solution; thank you!!

You're welcome. Ikenvape.com had HV 901's and 801's when I looked yesterday, but no HV 510's. Maybe someone will chime in with a source for them, I'd like to pick up a few myself.

Also, don't forget that the juice effects vapor production and TH as much as anything else. More VG = more vapor and less TH. A lot of people keep juice with a higher nic level handy for times when they need a little something extra.

Quasi-consider urself envied :D

Myser-You will LOVE the SB and you made a great choice. Ive had mine since they came out and have had ZERO issues with it. I totally understand ur concerns on button, etc. When I DO get the OMeGa, Ill have both so I can choose what will better suit my day so the top button wont be an issue for me. DEFINATELY get an 801 to try if vapor is ur game bc they produce HUGE amounts and LOVE 6v!!! I use 510s at 6v and hardly ever burn them out, but I direct drip only using a t-tip from superT. I believe dripping helps atties last longer bc they never get "dry". HV attys are great at 7.4v but I find 6v usually does well for me. Im not a HUGE fan of LR attys, to me 6v is better than using them and with the new "hot springs" in the SB 3.7v actualy vapes [pretty strong for me....I use it at both voltages.....:)

The hot spring in altsmokes pvs is copper in color, and is made of ....copper. It provides about a .4ohm lower resistance inside the mod than a stainless spring, so it adds a little oomph. I found that an atty of around 3.5 ohms to be best at 6+volts. Anything with more resistance puts it down below the sweetspot of 9-10 watts.

Quasimod: "Also, don't forget that the juice effects vapor production and TH as much as anything else. More VG = more vapor and less TH. A lot of people keep juice with a higher nic level handy for times when they need a little something extra."... I do that too. I DIY mine and through experimentation have settled with a 20mg Pineapple flavor for 95% of my vaping(I drink a lot of Mountain Dew, and the pineapple vapor and Mountain Dew soda are a match made in heaven!), and a 40mg flavorless juice for when I need that jolt. I use ONLY VG because I had read that VG was better for vapor.

crashtestjeep: "DEFINATELY get an 801 to try if vapor is ur game bc they produce HUGE amounts and LOVE 6v!!!", "Im not a HUGE fan of LR attys, to me 6v is better than using them and with the new "hot springs" in the SB 3.7v actualy vapes [pretty strong for me....I use it at both voltages"... I'll get some 801's and check them out. Ive only ever used 510's (im still very new at this and stuck with what ive seen recommended by others). Do they make HV 801's? Also, I bought the LR 510 because, based on the description of them, I guessed that was what I was supposed to use. I didnt waste money though (for once. lol), since orders over $85 you get free shipping.

BTW, I got my SB today, and the batteries. Was great timing getting them all at once. I have to say I LOVE it, the vapor is so warm and smooth. The experience reminds me of sipping warm milk on a cold rainy day.
