Hey Guys,

I am in the market for a high voltage pv. I have been doing some shopping and I want to get the best PV for the buck- (times are rough).

After doing some shopping it seems like all of the high voltage PVs come in 3.7 volt and you have to buy a sleeve or an adapter or a switch to be able to achieve 6v. My question is: with the silver bullet to achieve higher voltage you just have to get different batterys- correct? So it comes in 3.7v but is able to accept different batterys to get to 6v with out buying any special switches or adapters correct?

If so, I think I will be buying one- how long until they ship out? are the instock now?

Thanks for your help! Happy vaping!

The Silver Bullet was originally designed for 3.7 volt operation, but you can use two 3.0v batteries for 6v vaping. AltSmoke does not recommend using 6 volts, but it is definitely doable.

Most commercially available HV devices require an extension sleeve for high-voltage use. That is great since they can be used at different voltages as you prefer. After viewing Taukimada's video about the Silver Bullet, I was concerned about the amount of wiggle the CR2 batteries had in the battery chamber. I recall that it was tricky to load the 2 batteries into the device. The Silver Bullet looks to be a fantastic device nonetheless.

In the original SB aka V1 it was designed for a 18500 battery, 2 x CR2 was able to fit in the housing, and there was a lot of wiggle room. We did not recommend using the CR2 batteries simply because they were not protected. V1.1 can now use 2 x CR123@3v protected or 18650. With the CR123 diameter being 17mm there is less wiggle room this time around, I would say roughly 2mm as opposed to 4mm.:D

I have 2 of the first batch of Silver Bullets (801 and 510) and use 2 cr2 3 volt batteries in them for 6 volt vaping.

I have not had a problem with this set up. Once you screw the 2 SB halves together the batteries are locked into place and stay put without wiggling inside the case.

I use the cr2 3.0 volt 1000 mAh batteries from here:
2 pcs of Li - ion CR2 1000mAh 3.0V Battery(CR2-1000) - CR2 & AA/AAA - Flashlights, Batteries and more - Quality China Goods
No problems at all with 6V cr2's here.

Awesome- thanks for the info- I think I'll be ordering one- gotta wait till payday tho. Any of you guys get the adapter for an 801- more than likely I'll be getting the adapter because I prefer the 801 to the 510.

Any of you guys have other high voltage PVs? I pretty much have narrowed down my search to either the AdaptevR and the Silver Bullet. The AdaptevR you have to buy a 25 dollar sleeve and- and if you want an adapter its more money. I considered the prodigy also but that thing is to much money 140 bucks plus 20 bucks for the switches and another 20 bucks for the adapter.

So the Silver Bullet is the most economical PV out there. If I put an order in on Friday how long will it take to get here- meaning are they still on pre-order?

I thought you had to buy that $50 "bottom" to convert the SB to 6v?

Bandit - that's only for those of us who already have the first batch SBs and only if we want to use RCR123A 3 volt protected batteries and not cr2 batteries.

The RCR123A batts are longer and need a longer lower half. The cr2 batts are shorter and work perfect in the original verson SB.

So on the SB I just ordered a few minutes ago, I can do either 3.7v vaping with one RCR123a, or 6v vaping if I drop in 2 CR2 batteries?

Cool, glad I didn't select that $50 part that I didn't need! LOL

With the Silver Bullet you just ordered you would need 2 RCR 123A 3.0 volt batts for 6 volt vaping, not 2 cr2 3.0 volt batts.

Your SB will come with the longer lower half. You can't use 2 cr2 batts in it cuz they would be too short and you can't use 1 RCR123A 3.7 volt batt cuz that would be too short too. I'm not sure which batt to use for 3.7 volt vaping cuz I only do 6 volts.

Mine does not have the longer lower half, so I use 2 cr2 batts for 6 volt vaping.

So pretty much I should for get about the other HV units- and get the bullet- Im pretty much sold- just so I am clear- I don't have to buy anything else other than the batteries to achieve 6v on the updated bullet correct?

Can someone point me to a link to get the cheapest RCR123A batteries- thats what I need for 6v correct? also what mAh should these RCR123A be?

Correct, the SB that is currently on preorder is ready for 6v vaping, no sleeves needed. Rob is still looking for an economical CR123 solution. In the mean time these would work, I have a set myself and they work fine.
4 Pack RCR123A 3V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery with Smart Charger

I would not just commit to 6v though, you may be satisfied with the 18650 battery's vapor production and throat hit. Not to mention the 20 hours plus of battery life.

It's about the battery life for me :p

Oh here's a sneak peak at v1.2's Battery:

Still trying to figure out how to encase it...and...possibly a sling for over the shoulder?

Why is it so difficult to figure out encasing it? All you need is the 801 adapter and passthrough to the left of the steering wheel on a bass boat.

yeah im planning on getting a 18650 3.7v 2400mAh battery- and the RCR123A- your right about trying the 3.7v- but the main reason I am buying the SB is I want a high voltage PV-

Sorry for the uneducated question- but do they make a battery charger that will charge both of the battery models (18650 and RCR123A)?

Also, will different batteries work with the SB for example I have batteries that came with my Janty Stick which are CR10440 360mAh- I assume I can't use these- but doesn't hurt to ask? I guess I am wondering if I can play with different batteries models- or that is a big no-no. Also when it comes to the RCR123A- should the only model I buy be 900mHa? or does the mHa matter- so I shouldn't use more than 900mHa?

Thank you guys for all your help!

Would these work? I found some on ebay that comes with CR123A + charger but the are 1000mHa? and the model is CR not RCR? http://cgi.ebay.com/4X-3-0V-CR123A-...in_0?hash=item3a524f1231&_trksid=p4999.c0.m14

i found form RCR123a- but the are 1000mHa?
