Silver Mini Lavatube?

Mad imo I would go to the live chat on the Apollo site and tell them you want to change it to silver if you want to wait to March 10 when more come in if you want to make sure you get it in silver if they will do it. Have your order number ready (not the customer ID number) because in live chat you need to enter your order number. I had asked them some questions on the battery and charger so I needed my order number to start the live chat.

Looks like they sold out of them since I first put my order in because it now says they will be in March 10 and also now its an extra $5.00 for stainless steel which wasn't the case when i put my order in.

Thank you VPC. I don't know if I can wait,I'm down to one ego battery. The other one broke on me. I don't know when they changed it,I ordered yesterday afternoon and there wasn't any color options. I think I will go to the chat and see what they can do for me.

They sent me an email after I used the live chat ( which there were offline) and they are gonna send me a silver one when the next batch comes in. I was hoping to get one that they already had, I really didn't want to wait. I want my new toy.

That's cool your getting it in the silver you had really wanted might be tuff on just one ego hang in there.

The reason I wanted silver was I read some threads of LT owners who said their black LT starting chipping/scratching the black off. I have been though this with my ego's so don't want to have this occur on the MLT. That is why I wanted silver but now I saw they had SS I like that even better imo. I took my chipped black ego's batteries and removed the black and polished them and was surprised how good they looked. So hoping I can get the same results on the Apollo MLT SS.


Also check out this review (link below) on the Mini Lavatube and his comments/opinion on the battery that comes with the MLT kit after themid way point though the video. I ordered a AW IMR 18350 battery. But one thing I also have to research (incase you go with a AW IMR) if the charger that comes with this kit is safe to charge the AW IMR, because I thought I read awhile ago the battery might be different and (AW IMR LiIon vs Apollo battery?) have to make sure the Apollo charger is safe to charge the AW IMR battery. I have to research this more to be sure on the batteries to be sure on what I thought I read awhile ago before I ordered the Apollo MLT..The review is of the MLT Knight Rider but the battery is blue like the Apollo kit so might be the same battery. So just letting you know this.

One other thing (incase you didn't know ) I read there is going to be custom bottom caps made in the near future for the 18500 and 18650 batteries for the MLT.

You're not the first person I've seen say this, so don't take this personally. But what do you think is the source of that? In terms of specs, the LavaTube and the Provari (v1) are pretty much identical. Both are amp limited @ 2.5. They should put out the same voltage and amperage to any load that doesn't draw more than the limit. Obviously, the LT will drop the voltage and the Provari will give you an error code, if that occurs. The only other thing I can think of is that the Provari doesn't put out dc voltage? I haven't seen any sort of hardcore testing of a Provari, although I'm sure someone has done it.

I made a mistake... I was talking about the VMod XL not the LavaTube (apparently I thought I was on a different thread).

But to address what you said about the LavaTube vs The Provari, no they are not "pretty much identical". I won't rehash what's already been said in other threads about this, but search ECF and you'll see factual data to back this up.

The unfortunate part is I don't get a lot of factual data from those other threads. I generally seem to get a lot of ranting by fans of a particular device or another. If I put 4 volts across a 2.5 ohm resistance, I'll get 1.6 amps. Why would that be better on one device versus another device? That is what I wanted to know. Sorry, but I tend to ask these questions.

Also, I'm not advocating the use of a LT over a ProVari or a Buzz or any other device. I looked at them all. I bought mine knowing it would have certain weaknesses, but, hey, the price was right and it works for me. It certainly won't work for everybody. Specifically, people who want to use a low resistance load at a high voltage (or even a medium voltage), should look elsewhere.

Someone said that PBusardo is going to review a ProVari. I'll watch that, as I'm sure he'll break it down carefully.

I have held a few...thing weighs a ton...and doesn't come in a mini! If there was a ProVari-M with extensions I think I might finally pull the trigger. I just can't imagine carrying that thing with a tank on it all day.

Just to let you know their charger is fine for charging IMR batteries.

Hi Txt, per our pm I ordered the ST DCT 1.5 3.5ml (extra carto & type B cone) to try out for my ego just got it a coupe hours ago not bad, so far I like it! I like how it looks on the ego The carto in the tank had one hole the extra carto had 4 holes looks like they made a change to 4 holes. I couldn't get the Vision Stone II they were out of stock.

So I ordered one of those Riva T tank (w/pen cap) I read you mention in a thread and a M & P sub 3.0 mainly both for when my MLT arrives. l will be trying them of course (R-T & M&P) on the ego for kicks to see how I like them compared to my Boge 2.0 ohm which I do like and have been using for over a year.

Txt do I have to worry at all about over charging the AW IMR leaving on the Apollo charger if I leave them on to long?
