So today I decided to grab some silver beading wire today to use as non resistance wire. I've used this stuff before for jewelry and occasionally as jumper wire for some electronic stuff.

Today I picked up some at Wally word to experiment with in an atty and normally this stuff nearly all if not 100% silver. Anyways I got this spool and flipped it over once I got home I flipped over to see this.

Seriously WTH could be in this wire to get such a warning??? Guess I will wait till my nickel wire gets I'm and source some real silver wire elsewhere.

And my question is now answered. If you find silver wire stating its not suitable for children under 15 and or has a California Cancer warning. It contains unhealthy levels of lead!!!!!

So the stuff from Wally World is no where close to .999 or .9999 silver jewelry wire. It's basically silver solder.... ...???

Glad I flipped this over and did some research and find it a tad scary people would wear this in jewelry. Not surprised Wally World would sell it.
