Well this officially launched today/last night.

The [HASHTAG]#UltimateRTA[/HASHTAG] is Here. It's Time to Play!
The Project Sub-Ohm™ SilverPlay™ V2 is the next evolution of the most advanced tank of the market, integrating the largest airflow possible coupled with single airflow capability, two filling methods, the largest possible internal airflow and wider wicking channels, a lowered center post for cross compatibility in the widest sense, high grade PEEK insulators for top level heat resistance, increased tank capacity to 4.5 milliliters, a conical sloped chimney for maximal flavor, included variations of top caps and tank sections for unique and personalized set-ups, and a rifled shorty widebore drip tip specifically designed to increase flavor and vapor production!

Honestly I really like the sound of it and I LOVE the Silverplay v1 base -- the only problem is that the tank part is subpar and the base is much better with a Kayfun 4 tank/evaporation chamber. This basically solves that problem and makes the tank much more user-friendly in that you can remove the build deck to fill/tinker with your build. Also allows airflow to be closed on one side of the deck to make single coil builds easily possible... PEEK insulator, tank options, 4.5ml capacity.

I love the idea of it, but not the price... If it were more competitively priced I would probably at least try one, but I have a Goblin Mini AND a Goliath V2 on pre-order for $10 less COMBINED.

I'd still like to hear some opinions if anyone here decides to give it a shot. I'll be waiting until it's outdated and cheaper (or a well done clone) before I even consider it.

I'm going to pass on this one simply due to the price. The options coming out under $35 this year including the Goblin v1.2, Goliath, and Billow v2 all if not most are nicer (performance-wise) than the Silverplay v1 that was released due to it's tank/glass section, filling issues, and aesthetics make this a no-go for me at $60 for a Chinese built RTA. I also didn't think the build quality was anything special in the first edition.

First impressions:
-Machine oil was an issue, boiled all the parts and let them dry overnight.
-Build deck has enough room for decent coils, 3mm ID is pushing it.
-Airflow is alright, unfortunately the edges on the afc are not beveled, so any draw gives you the dreaded whistle.
-The manual included claims the tank can be top filled, I don't see how that is possible.

I would wait for the clone on this one, due to the cost.

I'm enjoying mine, but I do see a lot of room for improvement. It does put out nice big clouds with decent flavor. II found the build fairly easy and had no issues with wicking, I got everything working pretty well right off the bat. Personally I like the new styling, especially the new rounded top cap, and the logo is clean and non-distracting. The increased tank capacity is enough to chuck clouds for at least a few hours before refilling.

The threads fit together smoothly but I did feel the need to deburr them with a terry cloth towel. All edges , including the threads are extremely sharp, I have yet to try opening the tank with my bare hands to refill with the vacuum built up because I'm certain it will cut my fingers.

Also, the AFC ring is a PITA, it is not secured to the atty and falls off unless the tank is on a mod, even taking off the atty to refill has caused me to almost lose it. The new auxiliary air inlets also make the AFC ring so complicated that you can now only close inlets off, not close them down, so your ability to restrict airflow is limited. But at least the AFC is easily adjustable when the atty is topping a mod, no having to back off the tank to adjust airflow.

Overall, 5 for performance, 4 for design, 3.5 for machining. Feels more like $40/$45 in value.
