I recently won a Youde Simba RTA and figured I'd give the build deck a shot as a means to better vaping and saving money. I ordered 10 .65 claptons that have a 2.5 diameter. First thing I realized was this thing has a small deck. It takes a lot of work to get the tank on without the coil hitting the sides. I have to finagle it by lifting the coil up and close to the posts. This in turn makes the legs small and idk if the coil being close to the posts makes the vape worse. It isn't touching anything but very close. So I've also wicked the coils with a lot of cotton, a little cotton, Scottish roll thing etc. Basically, the vape is pretty lousy no matter what I do. I figured at first even a lousy build would be better than a coil but everything I tried has left me with crappy flavor. Idc about clouds I want flavor.
The funny thing is, the best flavor I ever got was off a kanger ssocc Clapton in my toptank nano. It was flavor on another level. I thought I'd get the same here but not even close. I'm vaping on some lost art unicorn puke and anyone that has had this knows the flavor explodes if you vaping it right.
These coils ohm out to about .7-.8. I've tried pushing anywhere from 20-45 watts in them. Sometimes the cotton tastes tastes burnt. I try to make sure everything is clean. I try to fix any hot spots by pinching hot coil together. Would a bend in the legs be a problem? Since the legs so small it gets a little black on one leg usually. Sometimes I get a little flame by post when dry firing. I've tried different airflow and juice flo adjustments.
Please help. I really don't want to have to waste money on coils again. Maybe this tank just sucks. It has a stainless steel solid ceramic coil which was awesome till it burnt out within a day, and a dual cotton coil which was also great till it burnt out in 3 days. I've wasted so much juice.
Id rather not have to go back to my kanger. All the shops near me are too concerned with making their store into a lame lounge and push junk at 100% markups. Some still only have the old square kanger coils and it's a chore to find other wise even tho there's a vape shop every half mile (really is). You'd think coils would be somewhat more important than an overpriced juice wall.
Any tips or tricks would help me. Like I said maybe it's just a .... deck and tank.
