For me similarities are very much so, In the summer months its tournament casting (grass-fishing) As Tournament rod building strip down and rebuilds, New fishing reels strip down replace with super fast bearing with the lightest oils then replace most parts for better, Then after all that still can only cast 250yds:(

You’re not referring to lox are you? Smoked, Thin sliced, oily, deep orange? If so frying it is a minor sin. It should be eaten raw. On dunkelbrot. With cream cheese and maybe some nice capers.
I'll take a closer look next time I'm in town as I saw it in the frozen fish section but just glanced at the package and made a note to myself to get some for Christmas instead of the back bacon I usually get and will let you all know. My dad (R. I. P.) used to get back bacon for Christmas so it's a bit of a family tradition to have a treat for Christmas breakfast.

If you can substitute it for catfish bai
I wonder if that new diy recipe contributed to me catching more fish yesterday lol. My rta was leaking a bit and I didn't feel like rinsing my hands in cold dirty lake water. The bass sure liked it.
If you can substitute it for catfish bait, I wouldn't try to vape it

I taught myself, well with the help of youtube for freshwater. The same with surf casting. The learning curve from fresh to saltwater was difficult until I started keeping it simple with metal spoons. Although some people make a gross face at the mention of bluefish, they actually make a decent bone broth for chowder. Take it outside for that slow simmer though.

All white meat. They are a small pain to get the plating split. But once you know how to do it then it doesnt take long. We make gar balls primarily with them. The texture is a bit like veal so they hold up nicely to any type of cooking method.
Ooooh.....gar are plain nasty, whenever I accidentally hooked one, I just cut my line. Want no part of them...especially the alligator gar, just the looks of them give me heebbees. You catch mud fish too?[emoji16]

This is truth! The one im holding in the picture flailed around when i was dragging him up the shore and hit my in the shoulder shredding my shirt and leaving me with some nice teeth scrapes on the shoulder bleeding. They can live a long time out of water as well.

Tell me about it... many many years ago there was a fishing rodeo at West End and an alligator gar had been brought in... probably 7' long... been on the ground for a couple of hours ( scales dried out and all) I reached down to open its mouth and SUPRIZE!!! it bit me, tearing a 2" long gash on my index finger... always kick them first before touching them

I double checked at the grocery store and it's a bacon, fry 90 seconds recommended. Quite pricey at $9.99 for 250 grams, that's about a half pound for those who still use pounds for weight.

Sounds about right. Salmon is expensive.
