I would like to make a 5v with a regulator. I have a 5v 3amp regulator from madvapes with control pin and need a little direction. I have done quite a bit of searching and I am familiar with the wonderful instructions to be found on madvapes but any detailed instructions I have found include the use of that little circuit board which I do not have.

I am sure I have seen 5v mods here which do not use that board but I have been unsuccessful at finding any pictures or instructions I could imulate. Could someone who knows what I am looking for and where to find it point me in the right direction please? I am sure it is here, I just can't seem to find it.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for ?

The board isn`t necessary it just makes things a little easier.

That's where you would attach a heat sink, screwing it on tightly to make full contact with the bottom of the plate. Taking a cue from CPUs a little heat sink grease is also a good idea.

Ahhh I understand thank you. Any recomendations for heat sink? My guess is that someone has a simple and effective around the house solution.
