I tried downloading the file several times and at least on dial-up it went thru all the ads, I registered, and see the file in My Files on the web but no file to use on my computer.
Perhaps I need excel opened first?????
Other downloads give me the option where to download to and then are available w/o being online.
I had an odd experience too, but it did download. At My File I got a continuous messgage to the effect that my 'file would begin downloading,' which made me think that it hadn't yet started. But the file was sitting in my download location the whole time. So it came through without an obvious notification from My File.

Not much I can do about that Dave. My file is a free hosting site. If I exchanged documents on a regular basis, I might consider elsewhere, but...

Anyone having difficulties please pm me.

Yeah man, not a criticism, just an observation. It worked for me and I am happy. ;)

PV collects calculators! :D Me too; I love spreadsheets as much as I love great custom knives and really enjoy deconstructing other's work. I learn a lot every time I see a spreadsheet from someone new. It's great.

Switched's calculator inspired me to drag my own fallow job out of the dustbin and fix it. I had a very embarrassing math error in mine and pulled it from circulation a while back. But yesterday I was inspired to fix it and you know, the correction was so simple it was embarrassing. I'd done the work the hardest possible way (which is my standard approach, :)) That is okay except when it's also wrong. And such was sure the case.

Anyway, not to play any kind of game but I'd be happy to post it here too if anyone is interested. It takes a different approach and isn't as ammenable to doing things 'your way' as Dan's and Switched are (you do things my way in my calculator!) but it works and is easy to use. I just don't want to put it out there and have that be taken wrong. Please don't even take the suggestion wrong. PV's calculator collection is what got me going. ;) I collect calculators too, and use em all for what I think they're best at.

Oh - one other thing. I made my calculator before I even knew anyone else had made one, or I'm sure I would never have bothered. That's what happens when you work in such a vacuum, and I'm sure what contributed to my original math error.

I think everyone collects them Dave, tries 'em and find one that works for them. That's what I did. Dan did pretty much the same thing. It was an interesting but long read on how that one came about. A "database" type calc evolved from that discussion as well. I don't run Windows and would need to install vy virt package again. Too busy...

Having tried several, and having to use a few to get where I was going. I just decided to create one with all the bits and pieces.

Your calc works great. I like your input about keeping homogeny in the mixes with balancing PGA, Flavorings, PG, & VG.

To save your recipes, do you just "save as" for each one?

By the way, thanks for e-mailing me the file.
Also thanks to PureVapor for the link to all the juice calcs, including yours Switched.

I learn something from every version of juice calculators because it is a reflection of how each of you DIY juice.
Of course, I also "love to count".

Guys, sorry I'm so dense, but i really never handled 100mg/ml nicotine, so I'm mortally afraid to make an error. I kind know what to do when I have a zero nic base, but my problems start when I'm trying to up the nic in my juices that have nicotine in them.

So, could somebody who "likes to count" please help me out here?

Let's say I have 5 ml of 12 mg e-liquid and want to turn this liquid into 24 mg/ml by adding 100 mg/ml nicotine. How many drops/ml of the 100 mg/ml nicotine should I add?

What if I want to turn the same 5 ml of 12 mg juice into 16 mg juice by adding 100 mg/ml nicotine?

Please help. Thank you.

This is what section 5 of my calculator is good for:

To make 24mg add .79ml of 100mg to your 5ml or 32 drops if your dropper = 40 drops/ml

To make 16mg add .24ml of 100mg to your 5ml or 10 drops if your dropper = 40 drops/ml

Depending on how many drops from your dropper = 1ml, take that number and times it by the ml to be added i.e.

Dropper = 30 drops per ml
30 * .79 = 23.7 or approx 24 drops, get it?

Hope this helps
Dan

God bless. I thought I was getting it right, but I didn't want to take any chances. It's not like failing a math test... you know. The bottle I got from Levy looks dangerous, if you know what I mean.

Thanks again.

LOL I know what you mean, but I would rather have it looking dagerous than covered in pink butterflys :)
Glad to help,
Dan
