How many others are like me and just like a simple basic coil? 8 to 10 wraps of kanthal with a cotton wick just seems to work perfect for me.
I have tried others, twisted wire, braided, clapton. And not just wire either but stove top coils, chimney coils and other strange stuff. Non of it seemed to make a difference to me. The flavor was never any better (or worse for that matter) with a fancy coil. Then again I might be broken because I can't taste my wire or wicking material either.
All these fancy coils ever did for me was use more wire, time, batteries and juice. Now I understand if you are vaping really low ohms then yes, these kind of designs are a way to get a lower resistance coil, but for those of us who vape over .5 ohms it never seemed worth it to me.
I can notice flavor differences with different atomizers and builds, but the coil design has never seemed to matter to me. And for me, it seems the builds that produce LESS vapor seem to have the most flavor, not the other way around.
I guess I am just old school and odd, but it's ok, I like it lol.
