This is so simple, it's almost silly... :)

It just so happens that the tube from a Flux fits perfectly into the tube of the Visions Regular (VR). Cut a piece of the Flux tube a bit longer than the distance between the top of the VR tube and the cup plug. Insert a regular 510 Drip Tip into this. Insert this "assembly" into the VR so that it is fairly snug against the cup plug of the VR. Do not push, or you'll pinch the wicks.

Done.

This does not make an air-tight seal, so no bubble forms and no gurgling ensues. But, the wall thickness of the Flux tube covers the fill slots just enough for the surface tension of the juice to prevent any leaking. Even if upside down and shaken.

The draw is tightened considerably, but I really like that. And now I can use my pretty Drip Tips. No trapped condensation. No trimming nipples or cutting holes. Easy as pie.

If the Flux tube is a little loose, just use the battery end, it's stretched.

Of course, this only works on Regulars - but they are my favorites anyways. :vapor:

P.S. For those who are concerned about such things, this looks best with vase-shaped drip tips. Others look a tad dinky - it's a matter of aesthetic balance. :)

well I just shoved the full tube in, problem is, it appears that the condensation is going down the middle nipple, it doesn't seem to leak, but its like the same problem i'm having with the fluxomizers, i'm sucking in juice, and I'm pretty sure its coming through the center, i'm not sure if its dropping through the center from the top or getting sucked through from the bottom.

but I can say it definately stops the bubble issue. and it doesn't seem to be leaking when I flip it upside down.

EDIT: so it seems to work okay if I keep it straight up, but if Lie it on its side, like what would happen if it falls down or whatever, then when I go to vape, its like juice has flowed into the center, anyone else experience this?

Ok, I gave in and tried it out on my old-school-tube Vision R anyway... It works!

The tube didn't crack, because I went slowly... If you take the o-ring off of your DT, the Flux tube will come out with it when you pull it out...

I like the tighter draw, feels a little warmer, and I'm getting fat clouds of vapor out of it now!

Thanks again Briar!

Glad you like it. :)

Yeah, the cool thing is that the tube segment comes out with the dt - makes it easy that way. Sorta reminds me of the rebuild you guys were talking about in the other thread. On the cheap. lol

Left it horizontal all night and no leaks, no juice in tube, nothing. Just throwin that out there for the sceptics... :)

FYI, you can also get this trick to work with the Mini and Giant size...

INSTURCTIONS

1) Cut a Fluxo tube to the appropriate length

2) Take the short end of a carto condom, and where the nub is in the bottom, use a leather punch to make a hole just big enough to remove the nub, no bigger.

3) Pop your DT into your Fluxo tube section.

4) Pop the DT/tube into the carto condom, and you'll see, it looks alot like the stock Vision mouthpeice now.

5) Vape your face off.

NOTES:

1) This does pretty well at eliminating leaks, unless you make the nub-hole too big.

2) This will create an airtight seal, so you will get the bubble-effect. Unless you make the nub-hole too big, in which case it will leak!

MORAL OF STORY:

1) I think long time CE2 users prefer a strait shot from the coil to the mouth. Better flavor, and more TH.

2) If the manufacturer can figure out a way to prevent leaks AND allow us to use our stock 510 DTs we would be freakin set.

3) We could just use this stuff as is, but what fun would that be? Bad, you of all people understand that... We're tryin to make you rich!

Great workaround, Monarch. You are using a 510 condom, right?

+10 on that. :)

Here is another variation of this trick I just tried on VR:

Remove the cup seal (I wasn't doing that before). Insert the "gasket" middle Flux ring into the bottom end of the mouthpiece tube. If the tube is cut just the right length, and the gasket is sitting horizontally right at the end of the tube, when you push it down into the Visions tube, the gasket gets pushed into place on top of the cup. Again, it's not an air-tight seal, but it's good enough not to leak. Just like in Fluxes. Unlike in Fluxes, it stays in place within the mouthpiece tube when the mouthpiece is removed for filling.

Now there are no obstructions between the coil and the drip tip, and no leaks.

The advantage here is that this does exactly what you wanted with your drawing: effectively, this is a one-piece mouthpiece (as long as everything is tight - but I wonder if we can glue it...) with a "lip" made out of the gasket. There are no obstructions. Once the mouthpiece is out, fill from the bottle, etc.

If the wicks get a little pinched (for instance, the mouthpiece tube may have been cut a little too long - it only needs about a millimeter below the cup edge, no more), just cut the notches in it, it's easier than cutting it down.

The only caveat here is that the Drip Tip has to be wedged really tight within the mouthpiece tube.

This is basically the same thing you are doing with the condom, but the condom is not meant to be next to the coil, and I'm kinda nervous it might melt. The gasket is another matter (hopefully). But the condom can still be used as an outside spacer to fit mouthpiece assembly into the Visions carto - we can just put it a little higher, so it doesn't get close to the heat.
