Since you vape, would you lounge around with smokers?

Absolutely. My Dad smokes cigars in the house, so it's usually a bit 'hazy' on the first floor. Since most of my friends smoke and none of them vape, it's a chance to get them to switch! Besides, if it's 'Beer Counseling' night with my priest friend, it's a chance to sit, have a few in a bar, and chat!

Even as a smoker, I never liked going to bars that allow smoking. It's just too overwhelming. I've never really been able to stand the smell and it's a million times worse now that I have completely given up smoking. I will hang out with smokers outside, but not in a building where there is no fresh air.
Nice Sibe klutzy!
I still like the way analogs smell...they just taste like {Moderated} to me. I hang out with my wife who smokes. She puts up with me after all:laugh:

I saw your other post. Anyway I would not think smokers and vapers would coexist in the same space for recreation. As an example there is a cigar shop near me that has a cigar lounge. They also sell DIY tobacco and vape supplies. However their lounge is a separate room in their shop. Overall, I think the layout of spaces and making sure everyone has THEIR space is important. That way people can cross mingle if they chose or hang with their own.

Of course and I do it all the time. Just because I'm now a non smoker, I'm not going to become one of those ex smoker snobs.

Because of the smoking ban here, a lot of businesses took a hit. I even know a couple bar owners who had to close their doors because the ban drove away their customers. There are some bars here who ignore the smoking ban because the fines are far cheaper then the lost business. I fully support and go to these establishments.

I still appreciate the smell of cigarette smoke. Stale cigs like an ashtray, not so much. I hang with the smokers when I get a chance to vape with them. They're cool people and I also get to talk to them about vaping if anyone is interested.

Yes there is some residual smell on me, but that's OK. I've had a few converts in the last couple of years and that makes up for it ;)

It's weird. I don't like the smell of a smoker entering the house after having one, or getting into the car. But if I'm around it directly, I like the smell. Smells like... high school... of not having any real worries. So yeah, I'll lounge around with smokers. I like my vape more, so it's not very tempting anymore.

As a new vapor, I've found the smell of cigarette smoke on my clothes after a night at a smoking bar to be quite gross. As I am further progressing in not smoking, I am finding that I do not mind the smell as much as when I first started.

As an experienced vapor, would you voluntarily "hang out" in a place where people can freely vape, smoke cigarettes, cigars or pipes? Especially if you happened to be watching your favorite team with other fans while your team was playing?

1 I started using my Electronic Cigarette, to reduce the cost of smoking. I just don't want to PAY $5.50 a day to Marlboro anymore. NO OTHER REASON.
2 I like the smell of FRESH tobacco and tobacco smoke. So, yes I hang with smokers.
3 I live in California, the only places legal to smoke "indoors", is your single family home and car. Assuming no children are present. Heck it's even illegal to smoke OUTSIDE some places. So NON issue for me..

In my case, absolutely; I'd be happy to advise or suggest to any of the smokers to be able to switch to vaping and avoid the black lungs from smoking.

Yeah, I hang around my friends who still smoke.

To be honest, I kind of like the smell when it gets on my clothes. I was always sort of a fan of the "cigarette-on-clothes" smell, and that still holds true even though I don't smoke cigarettes anymore. The smell of a cig doesn't really get me craving one that much, and it doesn't really bug me.

I've said it before, sometimes when the temperature's just right (especially if I have a few drinks in me) the smell of a cigarette is really one of the most visceral experiences.

When I smoked preference was given to places where I could smoke. Occasionally I would pass on a get together because it meant an extended time in a non-smoking environment.

Now I prefer a smoking allowed environment for the vaping but wouldn't shun a non-smoking function.

Most of my friends still smoke and I have no problems with hanging out with them but as a country boy, earthy or even pungent odors don't much bother me. It all comes out in the wash.
