Same here Brewdawg. I have no clue o_O about working with Logo's as I'm a numbers type of person, and want all the numbers I can get. :thumb:
Man, I thought with all your detailed posts about firmware, you'd be the one to know. I don't really care that much about it, but thought it might be cool to do if I start messing with the firmware- but not if it doesn't let me see the other data.

So are you updating firmware on all your P80's? To Arctic Fox? I'm a little leary about doing it, because of the comments about it changing the cutoff to 5 seconds. Makes me wonder what other defaults it could change that I'd then have to fiddle with. But then, I have wanted to play with TC curves to see if I can get a good TC vape at my very low (7.8-9.5 @ ~0.85ohm)wattages. It'd be great to no longer have to do a priming puff to get a good hit. I saw a video about Yihi & micromanaging each ms of the fire, and thought it might work for me. Sounds like you can do the same with Arctic Fox.

@iwanthidan - I have no experience with those, but I have an opinion anyway:)

To me the tank gives the vape, the mod simply provides power. I use less than 10% of the wattage potential of my P80 and AL85, but they both work great for me. You can MTL off most any modern mod.

What I look for in a mod first is comfort. I vape a lot, and I want it to feel comfortable and secure in my hand. I prefer smal mods that tend to be lighter weight, and more pocket friendly. The second thing I look for is how it looks. For me I want it to look nice. Not gaudy or flashy. Finally I look at features. Will it in fact do what I need it to do (VW, VW...etc) and most any current model will.

So I would say the best mod for you is to get the one that fits those three criteria FOR YOU.

Well said, Figs. Unless there's a known quality issue, or specific features wanted, you just pick what works for you- by size, color, whatever. Just about anything will work for someone like me (using about 10W or less)! In my case, first criterion is "most pocket friendly." Different features may be next. Everyone, including me, likes things that look cool - but being an ex smoker, I don't care nearly as much about looks as function, though. I never bought a brand of cigs because the pack looked nice sitting on the coffee table. ;)

Gotta say, I always get a kick out of reviews where the guy is reviewing a mod, and says (after setting it to power mode): "Let's see how it vapes." Takes a vape, and says "tastes great - good vape!" I mean, 50W tastes like 50W, doesn't it?

Not necessarily. Depending on the electronics in the mod and whether it's a single or double battery unit there seems to be a difference in my experience.
Okay, that's interesting. Not sure I understand, though- if you mean on regulated mods, how is it possible? If a mod is accurately delivering 50W, the coil doesn't know the source- i.e., battery types, # batteries, etc. I guess it could vary from mod to mod on how quickly it delivers that wattage, but that's the only thing I can think of that would vary. And I guess in really high wattages, that could make a noticeable difference. But there must be something else I didn't think of. What is it that you notice that's different? Must be something to it, as you've been doing this a lot longer than me, so I'm curious. And I may have to apologize to all the reviewers (in my head) for how I laughed at them (in my head)!

(btw, I like your tag line. I might have to appropriate it in certain situations:))

    Somewhere between here and there
I don’t want to get too technical but depending on the board used, the output waveform on some mods might be smoother than others. I’ve actually had mods before where I could almost feel the pulse of the waveform. I don’t know this for sure but believe that depending on the chip used that the switching speed is different and affects the smoothness of the output which in turn affects the vaping experience.Maybe an electronics expert will pop in. I think that things have come a long way as far as technology in our mods but still can improve.

@hittman - but the point is you got the same experience from each mod. The variance of reported wattage is moot (I doubt many mods are 100% accurate). So when wanthidan buys whatever mod he buys, he will find his sweet spot. It may show a slightly different wattage than if he would have picked another one, but his experience is the same.

When I used my Cubis Pro drop in tank, I would switch it from the P80 to the AL85. I knew to change the wattage. So I know what you’re saying, and I agree. But in the end it doesn’t really matter.

I do want to add that there are features on some mods that do make a real difference. For example the highly customizable preheat function on the P80. I can put the Berserker on it with a .8 ohm build at 7.5 watts and have different experiences. I may use a one second preheat at 10, 12, 15 watts. Or I may not use it at all. Each is noticeably different. Most other mods can’t do that (yet).

So my original statement is not 100% correct, just mostly correct :)

MyFreedomSmokes was great. Really nice to have a human & real customer service available.

4 years ago...I got my first ever vaping set-up from MFS (an Innokin VV V3 Mod with a Kanger T3S tank)...

After many subsequent orders...I've always found their Customer Service to be top-notch...:headbang:

It'd be great to no longer have to do a priming puff to get a good hit.

I've been able to completely eliminate my "priming puffs" by playing around with my P80's "Preheat Power" and "Preheat Duration" settings.

So Figs...comfort, small, lightweight, pocket friendly, looks, features...certainly sounds like you're recommending the P80 to iwanthidan...

Between this and Evic Primo Mini and Aleader Orbit 80W, which one do you suggest for an MTL vaper?

@iwanthidan ...Never heard of the Aleader...but I have the Primo Mini and the Sinuous P80 in my "home rotation"...I'm guessing I pick up my P80 at least 3 times as often as my Primo...

Great, appreciate that, Gerry. I've played with TC, didn't work for me so far, so maybe that's the answer. I'll look into how to use the preheat function. What wattage do you normally vape at, and what settings for preheat? Could save me some studying if you let me copy from your paper. ;)

Yeah, that's good to hear. I spoke with them noon Wednesday, and the replacement was delivered 2 days later - today! And I was able to use the original P80 in the short time I waited. Pretty stellar. Just the fact of getting someone on the phone immediately, having them really try to help, and being empowered to make a decision to take proper care of a customer is just way, way too rare these days. Most times, there isn't phone number at all. I'll be willing to pay a little more to do business with a company like that. I'll definitely do business with them again.

Wondering if anyone could help me out. I just got 2 brand new Samsung Q30 batteries to use in my P-80s. When I go to charge them, one will not charge past 14% and on the other P-80, it will not show that it is charging at all. At one point, one the p-80's said it was 100%, took a vape and back down to 14%. It will start to charge, and then stop. I had not had these problems before, and now I can not get either of them to charge.

Hi Brew...for me...vaping at 8W...I've been able to eliminate my priming puffs by setting the "Preheat Power" to 9.5W and "Preheat Duration" to 1.5 seconds.
