I'm thankful for the insurance cost increase that made me want to try vaping. It seems so silly now that a $30 per month cost would be the trigger, when doubling the cost of the cigarettes themselves didn't change a thing. I'm so thankful that it caused me to start searching and led me to replace a filthy habit with a fun obsession (hobby is taking it too lightly LOL)!
I am thankful for my brother and his service to our country and the protection of our freedom!
Today I am thankful to have a roof over my head and food in my belly, and all the accompanied luxuries.
I am thankful the TRIALS in life. The disappointments, the bad drivers etc that I experience on a daily basis.
WHY??? Sounds nuts? Well, these things are what make me undertand what the GOOD things REALLY mean. It makes me reflect on what I have and take for granted.

day 7: I am Thankful for my "children" (5 cats)... they love me unconditionally! =)
I am thankful that I have the right in my state to homeschool my children. - Even if today they are bound and determined to drive me INSANE......
I'm thankful for not giving up on life and having the willpower to keep looking on the bright side even when nobody is there to support me.

Today - I am very Thankful, for 2 things . . .
1) My Friends, because like George Eliot said: A friend is one to whom one may pour out the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that gentle hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.
and
2) For the Oscar Wilde quotes: "Whenever a man does a thoroughly stupid thing, it is always from the noblest motives." and "The truth is rarely pure and never simple."
These quotes brought a certain perspective back to reality of a situation for me and hopefully will to others if they really think about them.

I am thankful for my wonderful nephew whom I had the pleasure of helping my mom raise. He has been like a son to me and is now a grown man with a beautiful wife and a precious four year old son of his own. I am extremely thankful that he picked up great values from my mom, my grandparents, my husband and myself and that he is a responsible father thus breaking a two generation cycle of being a biological dad but not a father.
