Freedom means that I, as a former navy man can honestly say that in these days of police actions, undeclared wars and the "war on terrorism" that I would not join the military if I were asked now. Remember that in 1776 the American revolutionists were called terrorists by the British.Don't get me wrong, I love this country but I'm just sayin.

Freedom means to me, that I can wake up with a smile or a frown and share my own beleifs because frankly this is my subjective experience and I should be able to do so as I choose. I will only try to improve others experiences if my existence is appreciated. We should be allowed more freedom but I am very appreciative for what I do have.

Freedom is Richie Havens.
(I've been wanting to post this song, and it looks like this is my cue... angelic.gif )

Freedom is being able to play this song more than 40 yrs. after Woodstock, and have it still be relevant...

I'm trying to keep my posts to a minimum so as not to throw the post count off too much, but I just wanted to thank everyone who has entered so far for making this contest so much more than I ever imagined it would be... wub.gif

Some of your comments make me smile, some of them have me wiping tears from my eyes... but all of them make me so very proud to be a member of this forum, with all of you wonderful people... and the friends that I have made along the way!!

I like the freedoms in entertainment that I have as an American. I can go to a Michael Moore movie telling me how bad this country is. I can go watch cars drive around in a circle for 3 hours, and thousands of screaming people will be there watching with me. I can turn on my TV and switch through hundreds of channels and find nothing I want to see. I can listen to the radio and yell at it to play something good. I can go to one of the thousands of local, state, or national parks. I can visit an amusement park and get the crap scared out of me and go home broke. I can go on the internet and spend all day looking at captioned cat pictures.

I can do whatever makes me happy.

Freedom, to me; in this instance, means that I can read through a bunch of people's thoughts on freedom; while I choose not to enter the contest, but rather let the next person to post have an extra entry. It also means a lot more than that to me, but for now, and in this place, this freedom is simple, but at least I have the freedom to enjoy the fact that everybody has the freedom to say what they wish. :)

Freedom means that I can quote myself and say "ditto".

And that I can go on about something only partially related to the topic of the thread. I really love the vaping community because of people like spacekitty. I believe that, beyond the habituation and options that vaping offers, the real reason that people have so much success in switching from smoking to vaping is because of this type of person. We have a real community with people who are committed to helping each other and giving back when they are able. There is more support here at ECF, and with the rest of the online vaping communities, than I have ever seen in any organization; and I'm grateful to have found friends in this world.
