I was just browsing, looking for cartomizers at places other than where I have purchased them over the last six weeks. I will not name the vendor, but they seem to be popular here for things like PV adaptors.
They are selling cartomizers, blank or prefilled for nearly $4.00/each. You and a 5-pack? Add $12.00 to the unit price. Okay, caveat emptor, be sure to comparison shop and all that.
What struck me was their statement of warranty.
"D.O.A. warranty only."
Huh? I don't know about you, but I tend to buy cartomizers at least in packs of 5. I don't use them all at once. So how does one know whether or not a cartomizer is "D.O.A.?"
Does this make sense to anyone reading this?
I can understand not wanting to replace a carto that has been opened (for those few vendors I've encountered who actually wrap each carto separately), or replace a carto that has obviously seen use.
Is this just another add-on to the cost of vaping? I need to use a carto to find out if it's D.O.A. I am not going to put a multimeter on every carto I buy, looking for open circuits, wrong resistance, etc. Yeah, I know how to do all that stuff...but it's not practical.
I'd love to read others' encounters with ridiculous, pointless warranties. Post below, or comment to tell me that I am being an unreasonable weenie.
