This may sound silly to you all, but I'm a bit paranoid about driving and vaping... In my head, I picture the soccer mom in the minivan next to me seeing me vape and exhaling a huge cloud and thinking I'm vaping/smoking {OTHER STUFF} or something and calling the po-po. (Which I don't do at all) Or God forbid a cop seeing me do it and thinking the same.

Is this a concern, or was it a concern, to any of you when you were newbies to vaping?

Orrrr am I just being silly? Sorry but I'm honestly a bit paranoid and wondering if any of you have helpful advice.

Thanks!!

It's certainly a concern. If you see a bunch of guys drinking and driving on the road you're driving on, you'd feel concerned I'd imagine, but really, how would you know what they're drinking.

Back in Rochester, NY (PBusardo Country), I didn't worry about vaping in front of cops. There were two vape shops within a mile of my house.

Here in Hartford, there's only one vape shop in central CT. The rest of the vaping world seems to be cigalikes and ego-styled batteries that people pick up from tobacco shops.

In my neighborhood, there's a lot of roadwork being done, even this late into fall, so therefore there are a lot of cops. I tend to get my vaping done when I'm not driving through these areas, though I've been known to take a puff when I get to my son's school without anyone batting an eye. As an inner-city school near an area of road construction, the place is crawling with police.

This says to me that I'm probably being paranoid, but I'd rather not risk it until I start seeing a lot more mods around here.

I was on my way home from work yesterday. At a traffic light waiting for the light to turn green. I was happily Vaping and I noticed a police cruiser next to me. I looked over and he was happily Vaping away. We nodded to each other and tipped our mods like we would toast a glass of wine!

It's legal to vape. No one should be afraid to do so in their car. No one!

Really, I've noticed that kind of weird camaraderie with vapers in lots of places lately. Like you see each other and it's "You vaping?! Yeah, I'm vaping too! Awesome!" Some rando kid outside a bookstore, the receptionist at the place that works on my car, people outside my work and at the coffee shop down the street, young guys in the park where I walk my dog. People who I wouldn't normally have a whole lot in common with. It's pretty boss.

Last night, I went shopping with my wife, I waited in the car while she ran into Walgreens to buy her analogs (such a nasty habit lol), I was using my MVP2/Iclear 30 and I happened to notice the lady in the car next to me staring at me. That's when it kinda hit me that others don't really know a lot about what we do. I just gave her a nod and didn't vape on it anymore until we left the parking lot, it is kind of a weird situation.

Why would you be afraid of doing something legal in your car? That's about as reasonable as being afraid to vape at your house because a cop may randomly knock on your door or a neighbor might spot you through cracked blinds and call the cops on you. I always vape while I'm driving and I've driven by hundreds of cops at this point while either taking a pull or letting out a cloud and I haven't been pulled over once for it. Now dripping and driving is something that I don't condone, that's probably as dangerous or even worse than texting and driving.

Yeah it was something I thought about when I first started vaping and still do sometimes. Like when I'm driving and I stop at a stop light and someone sees me "smoking" on this black box it probably looks weird. But I don't think anyone would call the cops about that even if it was something else. But if someone is that upset about me vaping let them call the cops and when I get pulled over maybe I can educate that cop about vaping.

At my age, and the lifestyle I have lived, I just do not worry about other people or their thoughts about what I do. Yes, while at a light I take a vape or two, even on my bike, and do see some looks that are not good but, I have had some folks want to start a conversation to the point that cars start honking at us.

You know, I understand how you're feeling about vaping in the car. In my case, I'm just too old to care. LOL It will probably provide some fine entertainment for me.

That's one of the beautiful perks of getting a bit older - your Give-A-Dayum meter drops exponentially ;)

My thoughts have not been what other people might think..... more so on the airbag beeing deployed ...
Lots of years ago (at least here in Sweden) new drivers learned to hold the wheel; left hand at ten a clock & the right hand at two a clock..... this was later changed to: quarter to three..... Why? Cause if the airbag would go off ....well, that would result in two fists punching you in the face....hard!

So, imagine puffing away on your e-cig....& BAM !
