OK, Slim's fans, I'm on a holiday vape flavor quest, as they will need time to steep and I don't want to have to buy from different vendors. Below is what I've got in my cart, so I thought I'd jump in here and ask if anyone has given any of these a whirl:
  • Apple Pumpkin Pie
  • Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake
  • Pumpkin Latte
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Pumpkin Smash
  • Apple butter
  • Gingerbread Brew
  • Gingerbread Custard
  • Gingerbread
  • Candy Cane
  • Snake's Blood
  • Cinnamon Roll
I usually shoot for 50/50 blends and use 12mg. I also plan on going with 20% heavy flavor, as it's the same price and I have some 12mg unflavored on hand, if it's a bit too much flavor. BTW, I tank everything and my usual tank of choice is a Nautilus, in case that makes a difference.

Thanks, everyone!

@DebbieNY - I've tried Apple Butter and Snake's Blood from your list, and I liked them both. I've only had Slim's flavors at Standard strength, but I don't dislike light flavors, and I think your plan to dilute Heavy-flavored with unflavored nic base if needed is a sound one.

Please tell us about those Gingerbread mixes! Gingerbread Brew is almost demanding me to order it....

I can say the Pumpkin Pie will definitely be a winner. I remembered we share the same feelings about too much Pumpkin Spice. A very smooth, creamy pumpkin vape. I ordered mine with lite spice, but I'm thinking maybe, there wasn't a need. Almost too light. So I think it's worth a try, as is.

@DebbieNY -I guess to clarify, the flavors I added extra flavor to were tobacco's and that can really change the way they taste. In the case of the ones you ordered, I can't really say, as those aren't flavors I've tried. I can say that flavors with spices have a fine line when it comes to extra flavoring though.

Happy Sunday. Chiming in today with Slim's Strawberry Shortcake.
Two weeks since birth. Cap off for 24hrs then steeped since and shaken daily. Sampling in a little Aspire K1 tank with a 1.8 BVC coil at 11watts.
The primary flavor on the inhale is Slim's familiar base followed by a subtle sweetened ripe strawberry. There is a hint of sweet whipped cream and just a ghost of yellow cake.
Overall I like this one quite a bit. It is not overpowering and has a rich satisfying flavor that you can stick with for a few hours. I've been enjoying this one for two days now. I prefer it over Slim's Unicorn Milk so far but I need to revisit that one again since it has been steeping for three weeks.

Time to round-up the last of my first order. Given the good experiences I've reported so far, expectations were high!
-----
Apple Cheesecake Pie (Apple Pie, Sweet Cream, Cheesecake, and Graham Cracker) - I love apple pie and I really like cheesecake, so I would be bitterly disappointed if this vape failed to impress me. Fortunately, it was fantastic. It tastes exactly like it should, thank goodness. Overall, I think I like Slim's "Unicorn Magic" just a little bit better, because I'm not ALWAYS in the mood for a cheesecake flavor. But when you're keen for that extra-rich apple dessert trip, this is a good destination.

Blue Moon (Blueberry and Marshmallow) - It had to happen. With 476 flavors on the menu, it would be a miracle if I liked all of them. This one hit me with a harsh and chalky-dry pixie candy flavor, with no detectable cushion of marshmallow. I didn't get the blueberry. After it sat in the tank overnight, it improved just a little. Now at the end of the next day, I get a suggestion of blueberry candy, and can pick up a little toasted mallow on the exhale, so maybe there's still hope. I'll send it off to reform school for a couple months. If it doesn't learn better manners, I can always drown it in a big puddle of ITCVapes' Custard #3. No mercy. Better shape up!

Dragon's Bane (Banana, Sweet Cream, Captain Crunch, Caramel Candy, Graham Cracker, Peanut Butter, and Vanilla Custard) - I had high hopes for this one, but it was mostly banana chips. I don't think the "captain crunch" does it any favors. It has also shown signs of overnight improvement, however, so I'm not giving up on it yet. I'm still looking for a truly great PB and 'nanna vape, so maybe I'll give Slim's "Blue Suede Shoes" a try on my next order.

Mellow Mania (Marshmallow, Kiwi, Whipped Cream, Vanilla, Lemon, and Key Lime) - Surprise! This is incredibly good! I've never tasted kiwi--fruit or fowl--in my life, so I had no earthly idea what to expect here. I'll be buying some if I can (the fruit, that is). It's a lovable sweet mild taste that rounds off the lemon-lime notes, all of them riding smoothly on a light creamy pillow. More, please.

Plum Apple Custard (Vanilla Custard, Red Apple, Plum, Cinnamon, Sweetener, and Sweet Cream) - Simply superb. Two of my favorite fruits in a tart-SWEET-sour tandem, embraced by that great custard flavor and a mere prickle of cinnamon. It tastes like a holiday thing.
-----

By now I've mostly learned what I like in a vape, and I selected these carefully, but an 87% pass rate is still no mean feat for a sample this size. Even the two that didn't thrill me may yet come around. I'm a believer in the power of proper steeping, and the most unbelievable part of this tryout for me was how awesome most of these were with NO significant steep time. I'm very impressed, and very glad I finally took the time to roll through the menu and give Slim's a shot.

FINALLY I'm updating these five after extensive steeping. I brought them back out a while ago, but I wasn't in the right frame of mind, so I waited a bit longer. Now it feels right....

I'll lead off with the two initial disappointments. Blue Moon is very much improved. The "pixie" taste has mellowed, and the marshmallow has, er, mallowed. The harsh is gone, and I can finish it without mixing anything into it. It's a candy blueberry, and not impressive enough to reorder. I will be trying out "Buddha Juice" and hoping for a more natural blueberry flavor. Dragon's Bane is greatly improved as well. The banana is more natural, and I find I can really enjoy this as a breakfast vape with morning coffee. Still, the "captain crunchy" is not what I'm looking for in this profile, and I'm re-confirming my status as a cereal vape non-aficionado. But if you like the cereal types, this one steeps out nicely.

The other three are still great or even better. The biggest movement was in Apple Cheesecake Pie, which smoothed out to the point where I could never get sick of the cheesecake taste (it's a common problem for me with cheesecake vapes). I hereby declare it my favorite cheesecake. A similar melding happened to Plum Apple Custard, with the 3 namesake flavors just teaming up tightly and the cinnamon emerging ever so slightly. Mellow Mania didn't change much, still excellent, if anything a little lighter on throat hit.

With October upon us, I'll be ordering up a tobacco sampler and a few constituent flavors for sub-blending ideas. I feel the urge to get ready for Black Friday, when I expect to "go large" on a handful of favorites and maybe get a few more sample packs to play with. Thanks for all your thoughts, and please keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the update. Glad to see the cheesecake flavor is holding up. Like you, I get turned off, by the flavor, after a while. It gets really, really cheesy. Almost like Feta.
I'm letting the Plum Apple Custard steep for a bit more, before I make a revisit. I'm hoping the cinnamon mellows out a little bit. It was a tad too "Red Hot" flavored cinnamon, for my tastes, FOOB. Hoping the sweet apple and custard will help with that.

Hi!
Well.... I let the pumpkin pie steep... and it went from serious spice/Clove flavor to sweet and back round spice ...
Its Not bad. And it was horrible before.. It's still not a favorite.. but I will definitely vape this, so I'm happy. I'm gonna have to try to find a pumpkin vape with absolutely no spice..
Maybe a creamy pumpkin latte...
Well. . Happy vaping everyone :)

Hey folks. Any updates?

Nothing huge from me, but a couple notes..
I wasn't too impressed with Cigar Sweets fresh. It was SweeTarts with just a shadow of tobacco. I vaped a tank and put it away for another week. Now that it has had a breathing and a good two week steep it has mellowed out on the candy side and the tobacco has come forward to balance things out. It's still a very candied tobacco flavor but is now somewhat enjoyable. I've got 20ml and will vape it up but it probably won't be a reorder.

Strawberry Shortcake has improved and the whipped cream and cake are more forward. The strawberry is still kind of meh, and the liquid still has a waxy mouth feel. I enjoy this one much better than the Unicorn Milk. Overall I'm just not a strawberry vaper, but it was interesting to try these.

Virginia Fire Cured Tobacco remains a straight up honey vape. I hate honey in a vape. Tossing it..

Still waiting for RY4 to lose the pine taste. May never happen but since I adore RY4's, I'll let it hang around for another month and see if it ever improves. So far at three weeks the pine taste has faded some but not much.

I dripped Westward last night after noticing a color change. There is something coming forward, a sweetness, that holds promise so I'll hang onto it for another month.

My mistake of ordering RedBoro with extra flavor has resulted in a super long steep before I'll be able to use it without dilution. It leaves blackish stain rings at the top of the liquid line in the bottle after it settles. Just too much of something in there.. My bad. It was a good tobacco vape when ordered with standard flavor.

Overall, after ordering a dozen different flavors, I'm left with one keeper that has stayed in my every day rotation for three weeks now. Castle Short! Good straight from the mail and even better after a steep. I last ordered 100ml of it and it's going fast. A no brainier if you like 5P Castle Long. This is a consistently satisfying and tasty juice and I'm glad I tried Slim's if for no other reason than to find this one. I still use my standby Tribecca for about 50% of my total vaping but I always like to have several others along throughout the day to rotate through. I just ordered Symmetry Six from Five Pawns and Lemon Vanilla Cake from Ahlusion. Both will be first try's for me.

Overall, I'll probably continue to stick with higher end vendors. I've found that cheap juice usually tastes like just that, but I'm certainly happy I found Castle Short. Thanks to Man00ver for getting me to try this vendor.

@misterholidayhouse - Thanks, as always, for adding your perspective!

Personal update: The recent FDA news thread spurred me to buy a DIY kit and 2 liters of 100mg nicotine solution, along with a handful of TFA flavorings. I made a tiny batch of an apple-tobacco concoction that was OK when fresh. I was pleased to find that I can get along just fine with unflavored! And I've just now come from the basement after shaking up a 30mL batch of 12mg almond-amaretto at 10% flavoring (with a little sweetener), and that's going to breath for a couple hours.

Knowing my tendency to be tight with a dollar, further success on this path may lead me right out of the vendor-rating game. There are a lot of fun-looking recipes calling me.

That said, I'm still planning another Slim's order for backup stock. I'll check in if I find something new to crow about!

I got my first order in on 9/15 from Slims. At first all of them had a plastic smell so I took the drip tips off for a few hours, tips back on, gave them a shake and put them away to steep. Burped and shook them twice a day for 2 weeks then sat down to sample. All still had an overwhelming plastic taste so I took the drip tips off and let them air for 24 hours. Capped and shook them for the next week. Sampled them again today and although the plastic taste is almost gone I'm getting very little flavor out of all them. I'm sampling them on a rda single coil, 0.65 ohms from wattages ranging from 25 all the way to 35 with little difference in over all flavor. I got them 50/50, 3 nic, heavy. Now my free samples were 0 nic of course. Needless to say I'm a little stumped.

Oh, my word! I was sure hoping you'd have a better result. I didn't have experience with most of your order...

Just put in my first order! Sample pack, 3 nic, 50/50, heavy (20%) blend. Be back in 2 weeks with my thoughts.
Flavor 1: Unicorn Magic
- Flavor 2: Unicorn Milk
- Flavor 3: The Greater Good
- Flavor 4: Pink Starburst
- Flavor 5: Southern Caramel Apple Pie

...but I was sure you'd get along with Unicorn Magic, at least. Was really looking forward to you thoughts about Southern Caramel Apple Pie, too. I know misterholidayhouse had some trouble with a rubber taste (that I haven't found in my samples) and had chalked that up to the vendor's nicotine solution, but at 3mg with 20% flavoring I wouldn't expect it to be high-profile in any case. And now, no flavor! I'm at a loss. Sorry it didn't work out for you. :(

I enjoy the Castle Short too.

Ditto on the DIY, I probably spent a couple grand in the last year trying this, trying that. Half is unvapeable.

Unflavored 70/30 Nude Nicotine with a couple drops of the many good flavors I have tastes fantastic.

I didn't get a chance to order before I moved this past week, but I did finally open an account with Slim's and tried to order. Slim's CC verification service didn't like my new address and declined the transaction, although all of my address changes were taken care of on my end. So I'm out of this thread... but I might try again in a few weeks.

I had a little tussle with CC verification this week too, buying some new-release coils at a new vendor. Both cards I wanted to use were getting declined, so I e-mailed them for support. No answer by the next day, but one of the cards decided to work and my order went through. I haven't changed address in more than 8 years, though. It was a little frustrating, but they had the best price I could find and I didn't want to give up.

Here's hoping all the electrons settle into their proper orbits for ya. Lord knows there's enough stress in a move without it messing up your vape too.

I'm going to let them hang out and try them on a new build later on see if anything changes. I'll let you know. I'm kinda wondering if maybe I got a bad batch. The only juice I could taste anything from was Starburst but it was very weak. Oh well

If you email them, and let them know, I'd bet they will send you another order. I recently had an order mistakenly delivered to someone else by the USPS and it disappeared. During that time I emailed Slim's and let them know what had happened. I told them I was going to see if I could find it myself so not to worry about it until I reported back. Two days later I found my order a mile away and let Slim's know it had been recovered. They emailed back saying they had already shipped me a new order. I asked them to send me an invoice as this wasn't their fault and they said to forget it and enjoy my extra juice. Darned good customer service!
