So I mixed my first bottle of 8.3 today. Doesn’t seem like much until one remembers that I had been vaping~20 for years and couldn’t get under 12 without chaining. The difference is I got put on a non-addictive anti anxiety drug. They didn’t use to exist. They do now though and it’s working.

What is the drug? I'd LOVE to get off my benzo.

I remember taking Wellbutrin for depression while I was a smoker before it became Zyban for smoking cessation. I’d take it and notice I wasn’t craving cigarettes as much as I was.

I still have a rolling script. Maybe once I burn through the nic I have left, I’ll go see my doc again.

Aah....Visteril....an antihistamine, used for many things. Wouldn't work for me, but SO glad it is helping you! It can oftentimes help with nausea, too.
An antihistamine hub? Well that helps explain why my nose isn’t running anymore. Must be an off label thing like ozempic.

    ADDENDUM:
    So I looked it up.
    mayo site had this:
“Hydroxyzine is used to help control anxiety and tension caused by nervous and emotional conditions. It can also be used to help control anxiety and produce sleep before surgery. This medicine is also used to relieve symptoms of allergic conditions (eg, chronic urticaria and atopic and contact dermatoses).”
So it is on label I guess. It is also an antihistamine though.

I’m reducing really really slowly. I had a hiccup at 9 (hence the 8.3) after this if it works and I don’t chain it I’ll go 7.5. The plan is (was) to reduce by halves until 3 then after 3 by quarters. I’m now doing 100ml bottles. I was doing 60s.

    Wellbutrin or nicotine? :|
Nicotine. Wellbutrin is a mild tricyclic antidepressant, rather than an anti anxiety. Tricyclics need to be tapered off of too, but it’s nothing like nicotine. Wellbutrin is also a fairly mild one. It doesn't have the wild side effects of a hefty one like Zoloft. I crashed off Zoloft once and got ravingly paranoid. Crashing off Zoloft is baaaad. And pretty dangerous. Crashing off nicotine is just incredibly unpleasant. Done that too. By comparison crashing off Wellbutrin is no big deal. Everyone is different though. Paranoid was just me. Other people get different, and often worse, things.
