Small Glass Clearos?

So I'd heard this was an issue with some juices, but didn't realize how widespread it was...I just bought a bunch of new juices from Mt. Baker, and if there was a warning on the site I must have missed it, but when my latest vapemail arrived the other day it came with a warning not to use licorice, cinammon, citrus, Mt. Dew, Sweet Tart, green apple, ginger, amaretto, cherry, root beer, or lavender with plastic tank clearos.

Wow, that's a lot of flavors! And I got a cinnamon roll, plus a few orange and lemons, plus some flavors that I'm not sure whether they'd count as citrus or not...

After a few weeks playing with different equipment, I'm now using EVODs exclusively - me and the wife each have one that we're pretty sure is legit that came from a local shop, plus a couple that I think are Chinese knock-offs (supplier that sold them swears they're legit but the ones I bought here are marked "EVOD BCC" and there's no markings on the mail-order ones).

Does this mean I can't vape half of the flavors I bought? And if so, does anyone have suggestions for a glass clearo I could look into? Prefer something small, like in the 1.5ml range...I think the Pro tanks might work, but those things look huge - I don't vape more than 2ml a day, and that's switching between 2-3 flavors.

Should also add that my wife considers herself an expert at tapping on things with her acrylic nails, and believes the store-bought EVODs are glass, but the others are plastic...any insight on this would be helpful too. I've got a bunch more on the way from FastTech and I'm almost positive those are fakes.

Rumor has it that the ProTank mini is on its way, but the Kanger site still doesn't show it. I'm pretty sure even the genuine Evods are plastic, so you may want to consider getting a ProTank or two. The prices have come down since they first came out and I really like mine, especially after a cinnamon juice ruined one of my Kanger T3s. There are some pyrex carto tanks on the market, too, but I haven't had a chance to try one (yet) :).

EVODs aren't made of glass, no matter where they are purchased from. If you scroll down to the section "What can we use?" it has some suggestions. I try to keep it updated:

I'm seeing it listed as "sold out" on their site:

kanger Clearomizer – KangerTech

In the meantime, FastTech claims they're selling the legit big guy, looks like it has everything I need to attach to my Egos:

$15.56 Kanger Protank Clearomizer with Pyrex Glass Tank (2.5mL) - authentic Kangertech product / silver / 2.5

Maybe I ought to bite the bullet and buy a couple of those. Next thing, do you know why certain juices crack the plastic tanks? Wife brought up a good point - if whatever's in this stuff is shattering plastic, do we really want to be burning and inhaling it?

The link I posted above is to my blog about "tank crackers." Ultimately, it comes down to what you feel comfortable with. Here's a little more info about polycarbonate: » Why Do Some E-liquids Crack Plastic Tanks?

Thanks, Smokachino and Ocelot!

Also, odd that I put a little cola in a CE4 and the same thing pictured in Ocelot's blog post happened...stupid me, I went ahead and put it in a metal-skinned Evod (since the directions didn't say I can't use cola, though the blog seems to say otherwise)...no problems yet, but maybe I'll refrain from using it again once this tank is empty until I can get a Protank.

Edit: Agree with your first link, Ocelot - we're in uncharted territory using these things in general, but it's still better than smoking IMHO. Will check out your next link now...

Here's an even better price on the ProTank, and they ship in 24 hours. Use the 10% coupon code they have, or the code ........ to bring the price down to $14.26 each:

Kanger Protank Clearomizer

Can't wait for those ProTank minis!

Thanks again Smokachino - you just cost me another $60! But I've got 4 ProTanks and 5 replacement coils on the way...now 3 vapemails on the way after receiving as many in the last week. :D

By the time all's said and done I'm gonna have a dozen Evods, 4 ProTanks, 8 Ego batteries, four chargers, about 15 bottles of juice, and a small crate of spare parts - break-even if I can stay off the cigs now moved out to sometime in September. But by then the ProTank minis will be out and I'll need a few of those.
