Small-ish mechanical mod?

Can't believe I'm on the hunt for a mod, but I've found my sweet spot, and I managed to vape an eGo to death with an LR trying to get it, so I need something that won't fail under pressure...

I'm looking for something all-mechanical and reasonably small. It would also be nice if it looked somewhat nice... I don't really want to vape something that looks like a tailpipe or a detonator in public, ya know? I know I'll take a hit on battery life, but even just a good 5-6 hours of heavy vaping battery life would be fine for me. I don't mind carrying a couple little batteries around.

I still want to be able to fit my PV in my pocket, basically. And it seems like most of the mechanical mods are huge monstrosities, and most of the small ones get an hour or two of battery life. Isn't there something in between?

I don't mind what the voltage is really. I'm aiming for 6.8 watts, so like 4.1v with a 2.5ohm atty. I will buy whatever resistance atomizer is required to get me to that wattage. So I don't care about the voltage all that much.

Basically, I just want something nice and compact that is user-serviceable and doesn't make me feel like a crackhead or a terrorist when I vape it.

EDIT: Preferably with a 510 connector? I am a big fan of 306's.

I have a Little Sister VV. It is awesome! Can change it up or down to whatever I am in the mood for. Fairly cheap and extremely
small....about the size of a Bic lighter. Runs on 2-10440 batteries. Mine is 510 and basically use cartos on it. I love mine and am thinking of getting another one. Hope this helps!

I have the P10 (love it) and on order, hopefully next week, I will have the P18. These units are gorgeous and no wires, no switches that quit working. Does what it is supposed to do without much fuss. If you get one that is all Stainless, a lifetime warranty is included.

I'd second the idea of the precise since it is all mechanical...and has that lifetime warranty...and is a native 510 connector but comes with an adapter so running your kr808 cartos would also be possible...
I'd suggest the p16 with high drain batteries for compactness...
but the p18 is going to give you more battery options and still is pretty slim...

all mechanical is somewhat problematic....there's only a handful if that many...the precise, the gg line, the xhaler and mini xhaler, sparkplug, copper....and I think that's about it

the problem you're going to hit though is the wattage you want... the batteries are going to start off at 4.2V and then even off to 3.7V before diving...so at fresh off the charger that 2.5Ω 306 is going to be just fine (and a 18650 battery will stay there longer).... but then when it hits 3.7V you're going to want something at 2.0Ω...

because of that I'd almost say to look at variable voltage mods (but that dumps the all mechanical aspect).....like the buzz, or the big brother, or the ali'i (a VV version is supposed to be coming out) but they're mostly going to be box type mods

the only other thing that I can think of isn't out yet and I imagine it'll be a while (the precise maker is coming out with a VV box mod with integrated juice feeder at some point)

I've been looking at the Icon, GGTB, and Precise P16 in particular. I'm also going to look into the Minno, thanks flbutterfly! I'm actually not too concerned with juice feeding. I like dripping - reminds me of lighting a cig. Hmm... A few things that come to mind...

1. The Super T mods don't appear to have vent holes. I'm still a little bit scared of batteries... I did read a thread somewhere, though, where the Super T guy (I forget his name) offered to put vent holes on a mod for a customer. If I ask for it, is he willing to do that?

2. The GGTB seems to be the best value for money, and highly user-serviceable. Are there any safety concerns with the telescopic battery?

3. I'm confused about the Icon - is it fully mechanical or not? It says it has mechanical components. But what exactly does that mean?

Drozd, what exactly is different about how high drain batteries perform? Would this keep the voltage generally more consistent throughout the battery's charge?

HzG8rGrl - I'd love to see pics! I love the look of the P10... but how's the battery life?

I've had my eye on the Spark plug. Can always get an 801/510 adapter. I was told you can ask for SS adapters as they are not shown on the site.

The Icon is fully mechanical. It's an extremely simple design that is very easy to maintain.

I've been looking more at the Icon, and I'm a little worried about that one... Looks nice, but it seems to only take unprotected Li-Ion's, and has no vent holes. They say that it "might" fit AW IMR14500's, but frankly, if mine in particular happens not to, I don't want to use it with unprotected batts. I'm not sure I want to use it anyway with no vent holes...

Yeah, I am a little worried about batteries.

The more I read, the more I'm thinking Precise P16 with requested vent holes, or a GGTB.

The Precise models do look very nice and if I were ever to branch away from the PS line, I'd probably go with one of those. They just look so classy, I guess is the word. But they are more expensive.

But to clarify about the Icon, it does have vent holes. Two of them, actually. They're under the locking mechanism. And I use the AW IMR 14500s in mine, which is a safer chemistry than Li-ion anyway.

Regarding the protected Li-ion batteries, people have reported that the AW will fit so long as you remove the washers. However, the Icon 1.1, which will be shipping soon, doesn't have washers. So I don't know how or if that'll work with those.

Yeah, I was definitely leaning towards the GGTB. Locking switch + big-... vent holes + lots of battery options is appealing. Who ever though a GG would have a competitive price.

It is, unfortunately, a 901. But with a 306 atty, it's not silly-long with an adapter. I'll live.

Even more unfortunately, Vapor Kings is out. Is there anywhere else in the US that sells them? Or do you know when they'll be in stock?

P.S. A Kr8 to 510 will work for converting a 901 connection, right?

I read it'll be a delrin spacer instead of the washers... remove spacer, protected batt. should fit.
But why fudge with it-- the AW IMR 14500 batts ROCK!

+ with the iCON switch locked down its PERFECT for poppin' off bottle caps!
