Could be. Pinky's not as bad as my thumb, and the switch seems pretty light from what I've seen. I may be able to fire it not putting in much more effort than "resting" my finger there. But I look at the price tag and my head explodes, ya know?

It's gorgeous and I want it... I've seen a SuperT mod, and it's just as impressive if not more so in person, and I'm sure it's worth it. But e-gads.

Right now... I'm mulling over the GGTB and the Icon, with the Mako Minni a somewhat distant 3rd as the aesthetics fall a bit flat with me. Yes, I do care a little about that. :p

Though I'm trying to find out of the GGTB's dummy battery poses the same kinds of risks as stacking. I patiently await the Veteran's words.

The dummy battery presents no stacking danger, I'ts simply an adjustable length conductor so that you can use different length batteries. The downside is availabililty, as always with the new GG products. All of the existing GG owners want to jump on the latest thing. As far as switch pressure goes, get the magnetic upgrade and you can have a super-light switch pressure. The real beauty of the GG line is that there's nothing to wear out. I abuse the snot out of mine (GGTS), never polish it, never clean it (the GG users would be shocked), and it fires up first time, every time. I broke about 5 switches on Chucks, got drip overflow into my bartleby, wore out the switch on my 5V box mod, killed the batteries on my 401s, but I've never had a problem with the GG.

schaedj - Cool, good to know. :) After ignoring it for months, I'm now wading my way through battery school. I didn't know what it was about stacking that posed danger - the way the batts interact, or just multiple possibilities of individual failure.

I had also been eyeing the magnetic switch. No spring to wear out. Nice to hear it's a light touch. I was kind of afraid it was a bit stiff.

Knowing that... I gotta say the GGTB is pulling ahead. By a lot. Nothing to wreck, nothing to wear out, I can pull the whole thing apart myself in 5 minutes with nothing but my hands and maybe a pair of pliers. And it's damn pretty. I even like that giant sticky-outy button. Very steampunk. That's what I want. I can't afford to get a mod this very instant, so I'm not too worried about them being out of stock. But when they're back... I'll know if I want it by then, and I'll be ON IT.

75 bucks is good. One of the cheapest I've been looking at. Are we sure it's a GG?

I personally like my protege ( not made anymore unfortunately) and my mini xhaler, the small xhaler is getting the most use nowadays though out of all my mods. The Omega I ended up giving to my husband because after half a day using it my hand felt wore out and sore.
The mini xhaler button is lower so you can use any finger or put the button in your palm and squeeze.
I love mine with the 18350 batteries, they run longer than the 16340's.( you can use either)
All mechanical and just simply works with no fussing with it.

I still use my protege with a passthru. Love it, when the switch isn't having mood swings. Mistress I'll have to second the notion of you getting a bottom feeder like the reo. I have a kaji Jm, and absolutely love it. Mess with it once a day, or maybe even every other day, and it's good to go. I know 3ml doesn't sound like much, but it really makes the most of the juice. I guess it sucks whatever you don't burn up back into the bottle. My other choice, I don't know if you'll like either because it's a bit big and not vari volt is the screwdriver MKII. Put an lr on this thing and it's a beast. the batteries last all day, and it's mechanical. There's my 2cents lol. Have a good one.

... I don't mind what the voltage is really. I'm aiming for 6.8 watts, so like 4.1v with a 2.5ohm atty. I will buy whatever resistance atomizer is required to get me to that wattage. So I don't care about the voltage all that much.

Basically, I just want something nice and compact that is user-serviceable and doesn't make me feel like a crackhead or a terrorist when I vape it.

EDIT: Preferably with a 510 connector? I am a big fan of 306's. :)
Well if you really want that voltage, you will have to get an IC regulated mod. No battery only mod can provide it. A large 18650 based mod may get you about 3.85 loaded volts for a very short time.

- with a 2.5ohm atty
- I'm aiming for 6.8 watts

A standard battery should be able to provide the watts you want with Joye 510/306 atties whose ohms are usually closer to 2.1Ω.

I know you said small but I would avoid any 10440 based mod. 350mAh and poor max discharge rates make them a poor choice for our uses.

I know it's weird... but I actually like dripping. I want to mess with it. Reminds me of lighting a cig.

Seems like I give up one aspect of smoking, and pick up another. Gave up on small size, auto's don't perform well... so now I like dripping?

Some of them are beautiful though. Man there are some nice mods around...

God, you guys are giving me so many things to research! :D

Willy - I'm planning on getting into weirdly resisted atties to get my desired sweet spot. Ikenvape has some *really* weird ones. I guess reliability just tops my list - I can't afford to flush money like my partner did. Seeing his rather expensive mod die in a week put into perspective how fickle electrics can be.

Nah, I'm not going for the 10440's. I don't want to play that much battery roulette, and I have been reading about C ratings and amps. I'm planning on going one battery, LiMN, biggest that'll fit. I'm also a bit concerned about safety, with the spate of recent blown up mods.

Just watch out for something with an 18650 battery. Once you go down that route, there is no turning back lol. Awesome vapor production, every time. Massive, and I mean massive clouds. Everyone that tries out my JM gets the eye balls are going to pop out look lol.

haha...the jm is awesome!:)

Yeah, the mag switch is actually adjustable. You can put in two or three magnets (they oppose each other). I use all three (2 versus 1) and it's a nice light touch. Two would be even lighter.

The $75 price point is just imeo trying to satify another range of vapers. It blows my mind the craftsmanship he puts into these things, they really are beautiful. A lot of people were asking for lower prices and for him to bring back the Grant. This is his compromise. With the telescoping battery, it still has some of the adjustability of the TS, but it's a lot more streamlined. There are a lot of people asking for a dedicated 510 connector, so that may show up sometime, but adapters work in the mean time just fine.

I use the GGTS in two modes (I have two). One, plugged into the wall with the 5V passthrough and a 510 CE2 3.0 Ohm cartomizer, and the other, my traveler, with an 18650 battery and an Eastmall LR atty. Both configurations give about the same output, but the passthrough warms the vapor up more. I'm a dripper as well (I used to go through about 10 carts a day, and I never liked the bottom feeders), so now, I can leave the house with a 10ml bottle and my GG loaded with a fresh battery and vape for the whole day without ever worrying about failures or running dry. I used to carry spare batteries, spare atties and about 20 carts with me everywhere I went. I love the GG. I don't have the GGTB yet, but I'm on the wait list at vaporkings (they ARE the only US supplier), so I'll probably order one as soon as they have stock.

Yeah, they are some stunning pieces of machinery.

The more I'm looking, the more I'm leaning towards it. Ugh. A GG with a 306? I swore I'd never be that "hip." :p

I really just want something that won't fail me. I've actually been pretty lucky - the only batt I've lost is that eGo I killed with an LR. I've never lost an atty. But I've had sticky switches, weird touchy batteries, I leave the house with 3 extra batts, 2 or 3 atties... yeah, I wanna be done with that. A bottle of juice and maybe a spare batt thrown in a bag somewhere. And not worrying about something dying. And certainly not worrying about the mod I just dropped a bunch of money on randomly having a fit.

Ugh, gotta get my money together! Want!!

If I manage to nab that I'll be sure to thank Imeo personally for making something like that that normal people can afford. The only other one I've been really tempted by is the Precise P16, but it's twice as much money.

You could always put a feeler out in the classifieds. Might be able to save a few dollars if someone has one they aren't using!

That's how I got my GLV-1 (which I later upgraded) and my SB.

The GGTB is fairly new, so I'd have to be one lucky girl to find someone willing to give theirs up... but I could try.

I don't really want to try it with the Precise. They don't come with vent holes unless you ask, and most people probably don't ask. I'm skittish about that...

Psssh...vent holes. Just get a drill, and take care of it yourself. :p

Let me also throw into the mix, the idea of a Provape. Been reliable on every hit, not a single miss plus you get a lifetime warranty. Uses the 14500 battery, a pair of these should easily get you through a day unless you vape 5ml a day like me, I then go through 3 batteries a day. Just another PV to look over, good luck.

if you go to a 18650 size battery there's no need for a LiMN in fact it's overkill at the cost of vape time you get out of a battery...

single 16340 (cr123a) size yeah or 14500 yeah you want the LiMN...

Pssh.... David is awesome with his CS... the vent holes were a feature on his earlier mods but didn't think they fit the whole "precise" name... there's a bunch of people that have had him put them in.. some people don't like the flat top either so have had him chamfer the top like on his older models too... all you have to do is put it in your order and he'll do it... his vents are 3 equally spaced around the side of mod at a 30 degree angle pointing away from you (look at the older pictures of the S6 to see what the vents look like)...anyway there's some pictures of ones that he's vented in the superT subforum....

As for the whole bottom button thing....it's way more natural than you'd think... you just kinda rest the button on your pinky near the knuckle...and then it's really just kinda a squeeze with the rest of your hand..the thumb and forefinger push it down rather than pushing up with the pinky..

I had an S6 ....I sold it to get money toward a precise...best mechanical mod I've owned.... any of his stuff that makes it to the classifieds sells within a few hours... which I think says a lot...not much makes it to the classifieds and the stuff that does sells in very short order..
