You can use it in passthrough mode, so if you are near a power outlet or a USB port and your power is running low you simply plug it in to charge and you can vape with it while it is charging.
My point is that most people wanting a smaller (2nd) device will be using it outside the house or office. So you don't have access to a power source.

Way too expensive is subjective really. It is a variable voltage and variable wattage device, so think of it as an eGo on steroids.
Yes, you can look at it that way but it's still $25 for a product which is pretty much useless as soon as the battery has died.
I'd rather pay $10 more for a similar product with replaceable battery.

I wouldn't. I love my itaste, and since I have a usb port in my car, and at my work - I charge while vaping if I need to - but I rarely need to when out since at 800mah a charge last me about 8 hours.

Also, I don't just want a lighter device when I am out and about. I want a lighter device all of the time. I have been vaping for years and wanted a vv for years, but every time I looked at these 18350, 18500 or 18650 mods - I knew I did not want to use anything near that big and heavy. Even a 14500 box mod (which I ended up getting almost 3 years ago) was to clunky for an everyday vape.

I love the itaste vv because it is comfortable and easy to use all day, every day.

Also, since usb are on hand at home, in car, and office, I do not have to carry around anything extra - if I had a 14500 mod (hard to come by and the only type I would even remotely consider because of the weight factor) I would have to lug around extra batteries. Why is lugging around extra batteries an improvement? If you are going to lug around anything extra it should be another device, since many things can go wrong with a pv besides running out of juice.

Perhaps not what you're looking for but I thought I'd post it here anyway since it suits the topic:

14500 selectable voltage mod

Selectable voltages: 3.6V 3.8V 4.2V

Love my itaste vv/vw v 3.0 - I bought from Fasttech for just under $40, fast shipping - came with 4 iclear 16's and the charger. Liked it so much I bought 2.... awesome little unit, easy to carry and use, and won't roll off table! I have the white, and it's really pretty (and sparkly outdoors). Holds a great charge and it's a passthru also!:)

That list is long Tempesta. There are several small battery mods (also called 3.7volt mods) and some short mechs where one can replace the batteries.

I suggest that is a good topic for another thread as I haven't seen a current discussion in awhile.

A mod's size is determined by what size battery it holds. Most common small ones use 18350 (fat & short),14500 (thin & tall), or 16340 (medium & short) size. I don't know if there are any made these days with even smaller sized batteries.

This thread might be less confusing for future readers if the posts are only about the smaller vv and vv/vw devices.

Today i received the evic easy head + 18350 tube.

That thing is really light and small. :toast: It weights 45 grams and the total height is only 78mm. :)

I tried it with my cobra rba at 3.3V and with iclear16 at full power. Works great, power button is nice. Comes in a box with manuals. Happy with the purchase.

Compared to itaste svd and ego 900mAh

There are 2 main disadvantages:

1. Aluminum threads can be worn out easily on the bottom cap or in the tube. :( Will have to use silicone grease.
2. It doesnt work with any 18350 battery. Small ultrafire w/o protection has a tight fit. Little longer trustfire w/ protection doesnt fit inside.

I recommend batteries w/o nipple with max height of 35mm.

I'm getting really confused. What is the smallest device out there with replaceable batteries, whether vv/vw or not, that is fairly sturdy?
Gripper-by-Smoktech.jpggripper_&_knucklehead.jpgGripper with tank.jpg

The above Smoktech Gripper (mechanical) is small, sturdy, inexpensive ($16), and uses a replaceable 18350 battery.

Beware some issues with the iTaste vv/vw's. Got my mom one (i use the MVP) and altho it works amazingly and looks very nice, she dropped it ONCE and snapped the top part with the threads clean off. She taped it so it doesnt fall apart, but something went wrong with the wiring or something and she is now toasting Kanger MT3 coil heads in 24-48 hours. Otherwise yes, Innokin makes some nice ish.

Hello! I am looking for a smaller size and high quality VV/VW device. I have the provari mini but am looking for an even smaller one that is more discreet.

What do you suggest or use? And if you have a picture of a size comparison that would be great! Sometimes in pictures you cant really tell the true size it is until you see it next to some sort of common object.

high quality VV/VW device
WIZARD EVOLVED for 18490 batteries( Size M) has a length of 99 mm and a weight of only 50gr 22 ⌀
Sorry 21 Ø
