So I got me some SmartCarts from esmokeclub but I am having some trouble with them. I'm using them on a 510 kit that I got from esmokeclub as well.
I take out the little bit of filler, fill them up, put the filler back in and soak it so it's nice and juicy. Slap them in the atty and I'm good to go for a couple hits. After two or three hits, I get a really nasty, stinging, burning taste, that makes me gag and cough (and I'm used to smoking full flavored menthols).
If I let it sit for a long time, I can pick it up and be good for another two hits. I've tried a few straight PG juices, and my standard straight VG juice, all with the same effect.
I did notice that even though I put the filler back in flush with the end, when I put it on the atty, the filter gets compressed and pushed up in the cart a little bit, so I know it's making good contact with the atty bridge. I have also dripped several drops straight onto the atty to make sure that the wick there is nice and primed, so I have a feeling the problem lies in the SmartCart itself and not wicking right through that filler.
Has anyone else had this problem with these? Anyone have any ideas what that harsh stinging almost chemical tasting is from? Am I possibly messing something up with them? They seemed pretty straight forward to use, but maybe I'm just really that dumb...
