Does anyone know anything about this? Is this a company wide issue or relegated to this one seller?

I believe it is someone playing safe and not a specific FDA investigation into the company. Bulk orders into the US are coming in for more scrutiny and wrongly describing goods will only make the authorities more zealous. Larger orders require documentation and it is this that prompts 'investigation'. If you have the right import code, correct descriptions etc you have a chance of it clearing. By larger orders I mean several thousand dollars +. Most people do not want to risk losing that kind of money.

We're going to see this more & more. Look how fast suppliers are popping up. Most are OK, but there will be some who are just jumping on the bandwagon to make a quick buck, and have no business sense whatsoever. You'll see poorly constructed websites, lack of information on products, and when contacting them, you'll find a lack of business like attitude.

Investigations will start when things are mislabeled, and false claims are published. Noy to mention some suppliers my be bypassing certain federal business and import regulations.

We have a lot of excellent suppliers on board here with us. Stick with them.

So there is an issue, but they're working on it. Until then order from UK, keep orders small and through Royal Mail and you should be okay. This is how I'm reading it anyways. One to watch I think.

If they do get it all sorted, it would be nice to know how in more detail.

Don't panic, just speak to the guys at Intellicig (John or David) and they will explain things to you. SmartCigs is the US MIDWEST distributor.

I was thinking the same thing about the health claims. The response, near as I can tell, is that they are working on it and until resolved stick with small orders from their UK site.

I'm hoping to see them taking orders again soon. To me that would say a lot regarding present FDA stance.

Ummm...well my last post was about their response. I'm not panicking at all. Merely watching to see how it plays out at the moment. If Smartcigs resumes sales again soon, I think it will be very encouraging and give a better idea about current FDA standing.
