lol sorry Gunny- My fingers are dyslexic- someoen once told me they htought it could be a neurological disorder cuz I guess that's what happens when someone has one- you should hear me speak sometimes- words come out in wrong place in sentances- Was embarrassed by it when it first started, but now it doesn't bother me os much, although I know it's murder on everyone else.

Thanks- will be interestign to see if everythign fits proper- although I think I've just about given up on E-Smoking- I had a pen atomizer die on me this past Thursday, emailed SmartFixx- they said they'd send one right out- which they did- got it today- works like a charm- however, from Thursday to today, I used a second brand new Pen that I had bought from them, and it's dead already- this is the third atomizer that has died on me in just over 3 weeks time. the longest one has lasted me was 13 days- two died in 3 days on me, and I've been very careful how I smoked 2 of htem (the one that lasted hte longest was the one I smoked the hardest- doing puff count tests, etc.) Kinda real frustrated- after such a good start with htem, I had high hopes, but that has dwindled fairly fast. I'm not sure, but I think there is somethign wrong with the Black Models- bad batch or something perhaps?

I hate to keep emailing SmartFixx every third day or so, but what can I do? They're gonna hate me after havign to ask repeatedly for replacements.

Naz, they have a 30 day garenttee, if they don't want you e-mailing them every three days then thier product needs to last more than 13 days. I don't think they can hate you for having a faulty product and a decent warenty. Only thing I can't figure out is how these companies stay in bussiness having to replace parts all the time.

Jason,
I and others have asked that same question. It was postulated by a few members here that these parts cost about $10-$20 each - their markup being really high.

PS Don't remember the exact amount postulated but somewhere close to the above.

but even if they cost the company $5.00 (which I would guess that the company is paying between $5.00-$10.00) then they are still taking a loss if they have a 30 day garenttee and thier product won't last 30 days, eventualy they start loseing money. Unless they are making enough money on carts to make up for the amount lost on atomizers and other hardware.

well we all know theres a large markup on these devices and their accessories....but i assume each company has a replace/refund arrangement for faulty parts with their suppliers in the orient,so its probably not costing them anything significant to replace parts...and lets face it,these things cost peanuts to manufacture in china...

[..............But that's ok, it looks like the Janty mouthpiece will still fit, and the cartridge meets the tip of the metal arch. It works. ..
Leaford,
I interpreted the above as if you were saying it is a good thing if the cartridge contacts the metal arch. Is this true?
Because if the cartridge touches the metal arch wouldn't the filler also - and that would be bad, no?
Thanks

Yes, the cartridge should touch the arch. The metal arch is not the heating coil, Cindy. It's kind of a wick. It's filled with fibers that absorb the liquid, drawing it from the cartridge. It gets hot, but shouldn't get hot wnough to burn or melt the cartridge filler. We all get the odd fiber stuck in the wire, that's how they get there. SOme models, like the DSE101 and 102 have the cartridge pushed down firmly onto the arch. Others only push down slightly on it.

Thought I should pop back in here and say, no I do not think Smart Fixx carts caused my burning taste problem. I've used many other Smart Fixx carts since the start of this thread. I'm sure it was just a coincidence and the problems were due to the other normal causes such as too hot atomizer, fibers, low battery....

I'm still displeased about the situation with the Crown7 post.

ePuffer has pen style cartridges (5+ $8.95 ea.) or juice (30ml $29.95 currently out of stock)+ $7.00 shipping. In upper right corner of site is drop down window for US or Canadian Dollars.

Has about 5 flavors I think.

Today (6/29/08) I ordered 1 Elite Atomizer & 5 Cartons of Elite Premium Tobacco Flavor Nicotine Cartridge 5-packs for $80.85 including shipping.

Received my atomizer & carts from ePuffer today! (Elite series Electronic Atomizer $29.00)

The atomizer & carts are exactly the same as NJoy & Smart Fixx.:thumb:

See Quote above for prices. And regardless of selecting Canada or USA, price is Canadian. I think it actually cost me something like $81.50 US. (Elite series Electronic Atomizer $29.00)

Excellent Gunny ...

Found cheaper carts that should work, along with even cheaper atomizers !!!

Electronic Cigarette | Free Yourself... | e-cigs Mini

Box color and writing seems to be the exact same !!!

The one problem I face with shopping there is... I have no idea what £30 is in US $

I'm old & stubborn, oh yea and cheap! If they don't want to tell me in USD it's too much trouble. Did I mention lazy too. I believe it is roughly £30 = $60~.

BTW look closely at the atomizer and see a button which , if I'm not mistaken, indicates the older style pen. Be careful if it seems too cheap. Carts seem about the same, but $13.00 for a pen atomizer? If you buy one, please let me know.

Is still a good find though CaSHMeRe. See you live in LA, how did you know what £30 etc. converts to?

leaford pointed out an error in my previous post as follows. Atomizer Has 4 holes, not 1 & cart tip is slightly smaller and fits just a little loose on NJoy style.

:cry:My bad leaford, I stand corrected. You sir are absolutely correct. My apologies.

I don't mean to hammer you Gunny, but again, I have to point out that they are NOT the same. E-puffer atomizers are the same as original Janty atomizers. Njoy etc carts will not fit in an e-puffer or Janty atomizer. E-puffer and Janty carts will fit in an Njoy etc, but it won't be a good fit, and won't work at its best.

Gunny, I used this calculator to convert prices ...
Convert Pounds Sterling (GBP) and United States Dollars (USD): Currency Exchange Rate Conversion Calculator

and i did a breakdown on another thread.

Breakdown...

Based on the purchase of 500 Cartridges ... (Shipped to the USA)

Smokester = $428.96 USD (give or take depending on the day/currency trading that day)
Njoy = $2,495.00 USD
Smartfixx = $1,007.45 USD

Original thread can be found here!!!

gunny,i think the "button on the atomiser" you are referring to is the hole which is in the DSE901 minis atomiser.

the pictures show the dse901 atomiser at the top,the superminis in the middle, and the classics at the bottom.

the classic atomisers he sells have neither buttons nor holes, and no penstyle old or new that im aware of ever had a hole,or buttons except the kissbox.

smokesters ecigs are all exactly the same ecigs as meltrex sells.

and yes, £1=$1.975 right now.so its roughly a matter of double the amount shown in pounds sterling to get the dollar value.
