oh dear a luxyou or whatever man...I fear you mayyyy have not baught a very good one. I might be wrong and it might be good, but i havent ever heard of it.

Why didnt you just go with the Sigelei or IPV3??

Those ones at least you could have looked it up and found reviews. I pulled the trigger on a sigelei 150 watt yesterday for 107$

EDIT* Buddy of mine said its actually maybe good.... former sigelei engineer. Good luck then!

Oh...this thing is like a saturn car...some ...... off employees from a big company that didn't feel like they got enough credit went and made their own company (just like saturn), they use the same chip as the ipv3 WAS going to use (the SX330 is what they went with though) and the sigelei 100w (yes, that is the SX350) but because this box came out with the SX350 upgraded to 150 watts that is why sigelei made their 150w chip in house instead (supposedly, that may just be smoke up our bum lol) so this isn't a "bad" box but it is bulky considering what it is and there are definitely better boxes out there that cost the same or less and do the same thing or better but if you do not mind the added bulkiness and sucking on "smaug" from the hobbit is your fancy, vape on man!!!!! One thing I will say about this box is at least not alot of people are going to have it so that is cool instead of rocking what everyone else is gonna have

I'd remove the batteries and charge them together on a good 4 bay charger. You want to marry fresh batteries in that mod. I wouldn't trust the onboard charger to properly balance the charging.

Well it does appear that they run these batts parallel as opposed to series so I would say it SHOULD be okay but that is just IMO but it IS a chinese mod so use onboard charging at your own risk

So what's the best way to merry the batteries with the mod? I gave 2 Sony vtc3's that I've only used a handful of times, will those work with merry in them to the mod?

Theoretically sure, that will "work" but when it comes to your safety just go buy a NEW set that have never been used and never separate those two batteries or use them in anything but this mod and for less than 20 dollars to do this...do you really want to risk your safety???

I was just too tired and lazy last night to realize that that thing was called the "smaug" lol, who names a mod after a hobbit character???? Next month there will be a mini version called the bilbo????
I'd say it's probably a pun on Smog which in a busy city looks pretty cloudy... of course I wouldn't want to associate my product with air pollution...

Gyeah!!! Another soon to be Smaug owner!!! SMAUG is about to bring the FOG!!! Forget clouds...LoL. As an owner of the smaug, I'd like to welcome you to the club. I was like you too. Debating on weather to get an ipv3, Sigelei 150w, or the Smaug. I am proud of my decision. I even returned the ipv3 for the smaug. As a former owner of the ipv3 and having friends that rock the sigelei. I can tell you some of my pros and cons with all three.

First the smaug is fairly new and not too many people have it. A pro is that it looks way better then the plain ipv3 and sigelei. So nice that you would be afraid to drop it. Sigelei's come with a silicon wrap, so they have the advantage there, as an everyday beater. Although, the firing button on the sigelei, is super sensitive, you can very easily misfire it and it stays firing, even without holding down the button. Ask any sigelei owner, and they'll tell you that they came across this problem atleast once. The buttons on the ipv3, feel like a childs hard nipple, very uncomfortable. The buttons on Smaug feel nice and only 3 clicks to lock and unlock. Although with the smaug, the buttons don't work as well, when you click it fast multiple times, to eithier lock or get to the menu. You literally have to wait half a second between button pushes. The smaug can only fire as low as .3 ohms, while the others can go down to .1ohm.

Smaug also has a new never been used chip. It has a tilt sensor, so you can move up or down the wattage, fairly quickly. But the ipv3, with its 5 memory settings has the advantage. You can't fire the smaug as fast as the ipv3 when changing wattage quickly, because you have to get out of the menu. The smaug also has a puff-counter on the display screen, while the others dont. The puff counter is the main reason why I got this. Now I can see how much I vape on a workday, day off, and party night. I dont even look at the battery display anymore, I can already tell how many more hits i have left. The smaug is upgrade-able, however no updates have been released yet. Ipv had an update and they can go up to 165w and read the ohms to the 100th decimail, ex: 3.7 ohms. Segelei, is not upgrade-able. The usb front charge is safe, unlike the ipv3s v1, with the front charger port. I believe the usb charge is safe, due to their parallel battery setup, so they can charge both batteries equally. Im charging my smaug as I write this Although it charges safely, it is alot slower then charging on my nitecore bay charger. Smaugs have a warranty ranging from 6 months - 2years, depending on your vendor. So they expect this product to last two years!!! The battery bay, does not have a flat ribbon, to help take out the batteries, unlike the ipv3 and sigelei.

The sigeleis height is about the same as the ipv3 and segelei, but it is wider then both. The smaug does feel bulky in the hand, compared to ipv3. Smaug also doesn't have a spring adjusted contact like the ipv3. For the most part most of my attys fit flush without any adjustment, straight out of the smaug box.

For the most part, I got the smaug mainly for the looks and the puff counter. Im very happy with my device, and as you can tell a bit biased. If i had to pick another box mod, I would of gone with sigelei. If you need more info on the smaug, there are a few threads here. Someone took the smaug apart and posted pics of it. I hope this helps. Like u, I was also there, wondering if I made the right choice...

You forgot to mention the main difference, sig 150w/ipv3 use an authentic yihi sx 330 board. The smaug uses a clone chip.

I was looking at getting the smaug, but it wasn't much cheaper than the sigelei 150w after shipping, $15 difference. For the extra $15 I decided I'd rather have a yihi board.
