Hey, I finally thought of something to post here for the sweepstakes:View attachment 595075

Some old-timers would remember my array of batteries from 2012. As you can see, I was a big fan of the Vapor Titans, including the stealth models. Ah those were the days!

All these now replaced by a few Vapor Zeus medium dual-mode batteries, (blue & black only) and an even bigger smile of satisfaction. :smokie:
I don't feel like such a hoarder now!

This is mighty impressive! I've been going through some of the old threads and I even found the one where the stealth was first mentioned.
It's kind of a trip. I feel like an ecig archaeologist!

View attachment 595879 So happy today! 2 Target sleeves and one Pico sleeve...seller threw in tank guards cause I keep buying from her!

Looks very nice. I really like adding the covers to the mods. They really help with the grip, but they make it really hard to get in and out of pockets, especially pant pockets.

You want vaping stories? Let's see if anyone gets all the way thru this one!

Well I had the usual experience with cigalikes a couple years back. With the usual results, they were a total disappointment.

I'm a truck driver so I had the advantage of buying my cigs in the cheapest states. On June 20,2015 I stopped at a Loves truckstop in Louisiana to get a couple cartons. Something just snapped when I thought of dishing out $90 AGAIN just to burn it up. I thought, this has gotta stop! I'd seen other drivers and folks working at places where I'd deliver to vaping on much more powerful devices than the cigalikes and saying how well they were working to get off the cigs. I decided to take my $90 to a vape shop that had recently opened near my home and see what I could get with my cig money.

So what I had seen of vape shops along the hiways and byways was all shacks and storage shed looking little places. I was TOTALLY unprepared for that first shop I walked into. Very upscale and boutique-ish feel to it, I immediately felt some strange force tugging at my wallet! When the young lady at the counter finally asked if she could help me I babbled somethin about, Uhhh I don't know..... I feel like I've wandered into some sort of boutique or sumthin..... She bubbles back.... Yes thats right.... My reply was..... this ain't the place for me, and bailed outta there!

So I went back to the house and got online to search Yelp for MY kinda vape store. Living in an urban area gave me a ton of choices. I found a nearby shop showing a pic of a "Louis Anderson" leg lamp in the window and figgered that's the store for me. Next day at 10am I was parked in front of the store admiring that lamp when the owner showed up to unlock the place. Great guy, ex-smoker focused on helping others quit. By the time he had all his overpriced starter kits out on the counter showing and explaining them to me and I wasn't very interested I think he was getting a little exasperated. He finally pulled my wood-grain eGrip outta the display case saying he'd offer me the same deal he had offered a lady the day before.... $45... BINGO! My price range and I really liked the look of it and the fact that all ya had ta do was add juice and vape. So he showed me how to operate it, change the heads. After I chose a tobacco and an Espresso flavor and he mixed up two 30ml bottles @ 24mg he showed me how to prime the first coil and filled the tank for me, THAT'S customer service. So I took my very first vape right there in the shop and instantly felt.... OHHHHH YEEAAAHHHHH this little beast will do the job! Walked outta there with all I needed (Ha, so I thought) and a couple bucks leftover from my 90. Happy happy joy joy.

So a soon as I got home with my new toy I decided to Google it and learn all I could about it. That led me too some youtube reviews and finally here to ECF.

[ECF has been a GODSEND to me. The knowledge, the prizes and the FRIENDS I've made here.]

So the first thing I learned on ECF was the need for backups and backups for those backups. (And then more backups;))

My first backup was an ego-T upgrade battery with Aspire ET BDC Clearo w/BVC coils. Chose this tank because the coils were interchangeable with the eGrip. I was soooo disappointed with this rig at first that I thought I'd wasted my money. But ya know?, I kept reading the statement in here "learn to get the most from what you've got". Instead of looking for something different I worked with that little ego setup and learned how to get a satisfying vape from it. It wasn't long until it replaced the eGrip as my preferred vape. Strange how things can sometimes work out if you don't just give up on them. I have since moved on to replaceable battery mods and RTAs but only due to the FDA ignorance. There will forever be a warm place in my heart for my little Evods eGos and little Kanger coils!

So my next step came as the result of winning a prize here in the forums. As if right on cue, at the perfect point in my vaping progression, I won a Kangside e-Huge mod and Squape RTA along with all the supplies to learn rebuilding. Now at the time I won it this was already obsolete tech but I was so fascinated with it that to this day I don't need anything more. I've won several high tech, high power TC devices but always find a way to magically " turn them into" low power VV/VW devices. I've had 150-200 watt devices pass thru my hands with no interest. Most powerful device I use is my Kangside 25w Vamo 18350 box mod. I just don't see the point to anything more *for me*.

I will always have my stockpile of VV/VW devices and modified lung hitting Evods and ProTanks to fall back on but recently moved on to Lemo RTAs (obsolete and hard to find of course). Why would I want to "move on" and instantly turn all my stuff, that I've worked with for months, into useless junk? Just doesn't make sense to me. I'm happy in VV/VW territory and that's where I'm staying!

Now. How about juices? Well naturally as a NOOB I thought I had to have a Tobacco flavor at the start. So my first 2 juices were 'Red box Tobacco' and Espresso from my B&M. It didn't take but a few days to realize that vaping just didn't need to taste THAT BAD! So went out tasting and found that I liked fruity flavors. Especially a delushious juicy watermelon from a local shop. Got into DIY (tried anyway) but never came close to that watermelon flavor that I thought would be so easy. I did make several tasty juices but never that "to die for" watermelon and I won't pay B&M prices for juice again. So I've been happily vaping along for over a year now and along the way I have found a premix Tobacco flavor that I enjoy and another very tasty coffee. But I dilute the premix juice by 50% and adjust the nic level with my diy stuff. Just a couple weeks ago I decided to mix the Tobacco and coffee flavor for some reason and oooohh myyyy! Ya know it's hard to explain... It's like an earthy flat flavor but sooooooo satisfying!! So I've come full circle with my juices. From nasty Tobacco and coffee from that first B&M to Good Tobacco and coffee mixed and I can't put it down. :thumb::thumb::thumb: my other flavors have sat untouched for about 2 weeks now.

Vaping and this forum have been a real trip for me these past 14 months and looking forward to enjoying both for many years to come!

I would not judge you for this. Here's why: I currently have a dog shaped purse in my car. I also have a lion shaped purse (two actually) and a pug purse and a doxie purse and a tiny fuzzy white dog shaped clutch purse.

    I may have a problem.

I also am insanely jealous of this lil purse! Good find!

I had heard of ecigs and thought it was a gimmick. Then I started hearing commercials for them on the radio and decided to check them out. Did tons of research that led me to ECF and research there led me to V4L. That was 6 years ago. I was around back in the hey days of the V4l forum, just a lurker but still was fun. I had all the colors of cigalikes, so cool. I smoked and vaped for several years until I was dealt a severe medical diagnosis caused by smoking, that did it, I would no longer smoke. I was a staunch smoker and truly believed I could never quit. But ecigs and V4L flavors is what did it. Peppermint, Newport and Smilin Special Menthol (premium, of course!) were and still are my favs. I am coming up on 3 years smoke free. Now I am into the Wismec Venti and the Ego One. Thanks for all you do Smilin! :)

I am so happy to be of help to smoke smarter, and improve your life. This has, is, and always will be my mission. Due to the bullshi# money brought by big tobacco to lobbyists, AS well as PR machine, I am now offering all vapor products to enjoy.

My goal of helping cigarette smokers is now to help every person in the world to vape, not smoke. Never thought I would see the day, or time when pot, was more acceptable than ecigs. We are at a crossroads right now, and I will make every efforet to help all smokers, to vape. I am now building a vaping superstore, so please. Let me kmow what you want for prizes......ecigs, herbal...or what you want us to carry.
