The Torchy battery, if OK with that 'roughing up' is a good enough battery. I suspect it has two wraps. vaping it at 55 watts isn't going to last long. It won't be 'empty' but eventually the mod will say no.
I use those on a 2 x 18650 mod (Fuchai or Smoant) by the way. Twice as many batteries at half the power.... so mine last days not hours.
You could consider an inbuilt battery mod but beware because usb ports do break/mess up... and then you can't charge it. Actually, my smartphone usb is also now broken... which means new smartphone. Darn it.
I would consider ordering some wraps for those unless they are really old anyway.

PS Last year I was saying how great it was to be able to charge via usb at my holiday home. Now that home has my old charger as my beaten up mods all need me to take the batteries out because of failed usbs. Grim...

ok i've stopped vaping those batteries. Looking at the tesla stealth which I like but my 5ml TFV8 tank cant fit in it which sucks. Is there any USB mods that my tank will fit into (24.5mm)?
thanks
Seems much cheaper to simply buy decent new batteries occasionally. Even if you also bought a good charger as well. Most removable battery mods also have micro usb2 connectors that can be used to charge the mod as well as update the firmware.

I thought you weren't supposed to charge through usb with those? And if I buy a only usb charging mod i won't have to search for the 'right' kind of batteries which are difficult to find here

Well, it's not best practice to, for a couple of reasons. One, your batteries may charge unevenly, and that will decrease their useful shelf life. Secondly, you may end up killing your USB port on a reusable battery mod, if you do it consistently over time. Doing that every once in a while in a pinch won't be a problem. With that being said, the same is true about an internal battery mod (not the charging so much, but the USB port.) Once the battery either dies from its shelf life, or the USB port doesn't work, with an internal battery unless you are electrically minded and can replace either of those items, your mod will be toast. But, usually internal batt mods are a bit less expensive, but not always.

I think the main problem will be finding a battery that is powerful enough for your needs for a whole day, or you'd' have the option of carrying around a couple. Yes, you can vape via passthrough in some of them, but constantly charging/vaping one battery on say your computer is going to decrease the life of your device, possibly.

IDK about international shipping for batteries where you are, but Mooch's blog would be a good place to start, if you decide to not go the internal battery route. Internal battery mods are getting more powerful, just know that they have a shelf life (to be fair, removable battery mods do, too, at least some of them).

thanks. yeah that's why I liked the tesla stealth, seen a few comments that they last for pretty much a full day and it goes up to 100w so is powerful enough. Do you know any 4 or 5ml tanks that fit it, or even better an internal mod that my 5ml TFV8 tank will fit into? Then I don't have to waste my 10 or so spare smok coils :D

@cal202

What batteries are you talking about? Quality IMR/INR 18650s are easy to get here if you don't mind buying over the internet. Prices are currently low too.

I think you'll have an easier time finding a match with a two-battery mod, to be honest. I don't know of any rechargeable batteries that offer the width you need, but I really only have a couple internal batt mods that I use to cart around as backups... I'd suggest going to manufacturer sites and looking at specs, you could even email manufacturers to see if there's an internal battery mod that will have the diameter you need.

Good luck!

You may want to check out the new IJoy Capo. It comes with a long life 21700 battery and can be charged via USB. It can also handle almost any tank you throw on it up to 26mm. I have the new IJoy Captain PD270 200 watts which comes with 2 20700 batteries and I am charging it USB since my charger wont fit the 20700, and it is charging just fine. The Capo is just a smaller version of the Captain, but if you decide to keep using what you have you need to find out what is tearing up your batteries. I have done a temporary fix while waiting for vape mail with a little electrical tape, but it will make your battery fit tighter in your mod, and I wouldn't recommend it for long term or higher watts. Good luck on whatever you decide to do.
IJOY CAPO 100
Ijoy Iwepal chip does allow onboard charging thru the USB port, I don't know how well that will do in the long term but at least they do supply the batteries

I think people including myself are assuming you have access to online shopping. Charging through the micro usb2 is no worse on a removable battery mod than on a non removable battery mod. Not a great idea but doable.

Where is "here" that you are having this issue?

Well if you are wanting an internal battery mod that will somewhat handle that tank you have you could try looking at the Sigelei J150 150watts, little bulky due to the internal battery but Sigelei for the most part does build decent bang around mods, I've still got my Sig 100 and 150 watt mods that are 3 years old chugging away like train just like the first day I bought them.

Sigelei J150 Built-in Battery TC Mod

You'll just have to use coil heads that don't exceed that max 150watts the mod outputs at maximum.

I keep telling my peeps to ditch that toy iPhone for a Samsung that does Qi wireless charging. ;)

I'm brutal on mini USB ports because I'm half blind and have limited dexterity. I just keep flipping the plug and trying to ram it in the port until it beeps.

hey guys thx for suggestions sorry to bump this again:rolleyes: ordered a couple of LG HE batteries so hopefully they wont get ripped apart in my mod.

but was looking around for internal mods anyway and the eleaf ipower 80w looks good with a battery that should last me all day, anyone tried this? And would I be able to use my big baby beast on it? BBB is 24.5mm and ipower dimension is 23mm but would it work even with the overhang?

The Power 80W will drive that tank, but there is that overhang thing, and the Power 80W might not quite hit the sweet spot with some of the coils the BBB can take. The Q2 0.4 and 0.6 will be fine.

I get nice, rich vapor and flavor with those at well below 80 Watts.

Go rebuildale save on those smok coils such a rip off the ammount i spent a week was absurb
"Go rebuildable," they said. "You'll save money," they said. "It's easy, they said."

What's that? I need a coil building kit? I need a rebuildable atomizer thingie? An Ohm reader? Ceramic tweezers? I need cotton? Why does it have to be cotton? Why does it have to be organic cotton? Why does it have to be Japanese organic cotton?

Seriously, I can understand why folks like rebuildables. There's something primal to it--like cooking freshly killed game over a open fire. And the vape is gnarly good, and the coil life is good, too. But I get about 70ml of use (each) out of my sub-Ohm coils from Smok, Kanger, Vaporesso and Joyetech. One 0.4 Ohm Smok Baby coil went through nearly a whole 120ml bottle of an oreos and milk flavor before clogging up, and a hot bath later it finished the job.

Frankly, I believe newbies should learn how to pick the right device paired with the right tank. And figure out what kind of batteries will let them safely vape on a device they knew nothing about two weeks ago. And pick the right type of vaping they like, be it MTL or DL or some combo thereof. And pick the right nicotine level. That's a pretty big order. Adding the "fun" of learning how many wraps of whatever gauge of whatever metal it takes to reach whatever resistance complicates things, and we haven't even touched the "fun" of mastering the Black Art of Wicking.
