Slow down and turn the wattage down. Way down. Somewhere around 35 is good. Then start working your way up in power.

If you're hitting it 10 times in 30 seconds at 60-something Watts you're going to burn up the coil every time.

Ignore the recommended range. It is almost useless.

I've tried binning the juice and loading some more in after priming the same coil (just in case) and pulling without the fire button. More bubbles come up and it's pretty much 9/10 every 3rd hit is just 70% dry and 30% vape. It's awful.... I've tried from about 35w, each hit being 2 seconds long and I can't really taste any flavour until about 45w. From there, that's where the problem occurs the most.
Again.. it's always on the 3rd hit. I must've left it about an hour while cleaning to let the cotton soak up the juice but it's just not working the way it should. I don't think it's the coil that's the problem either if I didn't say that already because this isn't the only coil I've had the problem with. Every good hit now tastes 50% flavour and 50% musky. I've also tried on the batteries being somewhat around the 1-5% mark where I can't see anything on the LED screen and even fully charged where I've left it overnight and vaped when I woke up. Again it's always the 3rd hit. I just don't know what to do anymore. Building up from a low wattage and increasing the watts every 5-10 hits doesn't really help. I extremely appreciate the fast response and trying to help me by the way!

Sounds like you have two problems simultaneously...
First one is wicking. It doesn't wick fast enough, because your second problem is that it's Smok.
Try poking holes in the cotton with a sewing needle, not a ton, but a few to help wick the juice quicker...

Yeah I've heard bad things about Smok after I bought it but since I've dropped it once, the shop wont take it back unfortunately.... however, after poking 1 hole in each 'wick window?', it now works brilliantly!! I can now vape safely at 65 watts with no dry hits for about 1 hour now with 1 toot every 1-2 minutes or so. I've seen other people say to poke holes in and I thought it'd never work because I had no hope but I got myself a safety pin (closest I had to a sewing needle but does the same thing rather) and it's fantastic! The only problem is that when I open the air hole too wide, it will give a bit of (not piping hot) spit back which is most likely down to how big the holes are in proportion to each window itself but I don't like the air hole open much anyways. The air hole at 50/50 will do me great! Thank you for the help Joru'us C'baoth for the fix!

Vape on!!

Just tried it on soft at 58w, and I'm getting dry hits still. It's odd because the coils are rated between 40w and 80w, with 'best' at 55 to 65w. Vaping at 58w the taste is great, but then I get a dry hit. Yet 58w on my pico tastes great with no dry hits, but I don't like using my pico that high, I prefer around 10w lower, just to be safe

Curious about what you mean by soft. I don't know the mod you're using, the only time I've heard that word used is with preheat. I had a similar problem with preheat, though on different gear. The preheat was at very high watts and just drained all the juice out of the wick. I've got Picos, does your other mod by any chance have preheat?

Update..... after 3 chain vapes on 65w, it's doing it again no matter how long I leave it... What's the problem? I've poked 4 holes in the vape. The only difference is I changed the juice from "70/30's Tropical Storm 3mg" (which was the juice I had when I thought it fixed itself) to the "Koncept Xix All Day Grape 80% VG 0mg".... Is it the juice that's the problem? Is it because it's thicker? Would 10% more VG in juice make a difference to the 4 holes I made in the "wick windows" that I made? And if it does make a difference and I somehow fix the dry hits by making a few more holes allowing the juice to wick easier, would I need to stick with 80% VG juices with this coil to prevent flooding and spit back?

Assuming that you've settled on it being a wicking problem, less VG would be better than more. Also, you need to slow down. There is no way you are going to successfully chain vape that particular factory coil at 65 Watts. Open up the airflow and turn your wattage down a bit. And did I say slow down? Nobody's gonna take that thing away from you.
