Remember the Alien has a lower voltage cutoff than most mods, so you can draw the battery down more. The issue is then calculating the actual amp draw at that lower cutoff, and decreasing your safety margin if you're playing with high wattage

60 Days! A big congrats!:toast:

I'm a 10W vaper. The Alien does take the battery down to 2.9v - 3v if you let it shut itself down. Mooch doesn't think discharging to that range is an issue, but it does shorten life a bit over time.

60 days, congratulations! :rickroll::banana::thumb:

That is a HUGE milestone in my book, going a DAY without a cigarette was a huge milestone for me. I'm trying to remember when the last time I went more than a day without a cigarette, and I believe it was over a decade ago. 60 days is MAJOR! That's when I actually started feeling comfortable that this MIGHT work, and I rewarded myself with the kabuki. I hope you have a nice "reward" of whatever you might enjoy today!!! :)

thanks all. still on that learning curve but getting there.
the alien has landed. firmware upgraded. first impressions are excellent for the most part.
battery life? top notch. clouds? yes. flavour? better than my melo tanks. UI? gotten used to.
the only thing i can see being a problem is the battery cover. bit on the flimsy side compared to the rest of the build quality.

So far I've had no problems with the battery door, and I always charge with an external charger so the door is in use. It feels a little loose when open, but it does the job without early failure.
that's good to know but mine has the opposite problem...tight and difficult to get in place. same with both sets of my 18650s. sure it'll be fine but just thought i'd note it.

Oh, closing the door does require a solid push down to be able to slide it closed. This mod has had some QC issues with the paint, and occasionally the fire bar but I don't think I've read about anyone getting the door popping open and droping their batteries. But you never know.

cheers folks.
am getting the hang of it but as the cells last for so long i'm not planning on using the battery cover much!
now...a 4ml tank similar to the baby (and using the same coils)...any suggestions? (runs for cover)

The Big Baby Beast. 4 ml and uses the same coils.

afraid you lost me at lower voltage cutoff. will be interesting having a fiddle with it. will start at my usual 40W and take it from there.
and thank you...realise 60 isn't a huge amount but every day is its own milestone.
Believe me, 60 is a big deal

Yeah I hate the baby beast filling port it's too small for glass droppers and sorachi bottles hate coil longevity too if never going rebuildable get the clieto 120 the coils last up to a month and has rta rda flavor

I always let my alien tell me I can't vape anymore due to batteris being dead lol

I got vtc 5 and 30qs so eh I don't mind

But I always say go rebuildable it saves on money don't seem like it at tank cost 40$ coil master kit 25 premade coils 5$ cotton 5.99 $ but in 2 months I spent that on amok coils cuz they suck

funny you should say that...have all i need for an RTA setup arriving today. wire and some pre-built coils along with an avocado 24 and a coilmaster 521 tab. got plenty of other tanks also (and there's always a backup in my pocket luckily as this happened on the commute to work this morning) so nothing's stopping the vaping

Yeah it's hard to convince people to switch to rebuildable I find all the sub ohm coils a rip off guess it's good for old timers I converted a old timers I work with to vaping and he wants an ammit 25 like mine as he's spending a bit on his baby beast hopefully soon he gets the ammit
