Wattage and TC, but usually wattage. I'm using a single fused clapton at roughly .3 ohm at 33w. It's a lovely, flavorful and cool vape. I'm a low wattage vapor, I tend to stay below 75w on most of my set ups, with the occasional push to 120w if I want to cloud up a room.
Thanks for the very helpful tips mate, I also a low wattage vapor. I really love the alien the cons that I read was just the color chipping and the fire button. I think the gun metal color would be dope with the black pharoah. Again thanks for all the help mate!

Glad I was able to help. The gunmetal and black would look rad. I have been using it regularly, and have yet to see any chipping paint or sloppy clicky/not firing button issues.

Does anyone have both an Alien and a G-Priv?

If so, any comparisons on weight, size, ease of use (TC modes mainly), finish durability, etc?

I love the G-Priv and I am unsure if I should buy an Alien or pay an extra $10 or so for another G-Priv.

Thanks!

I responded in the temp control thread.

The Alien just fits better, but the G-priv definitely feels more soild/durable and was surely made with higher quality materials. It's also a bit heavier than the Alien. They're both comparably easy to use. I like that fact that you can turn the screen off and still vape on the G. Then again, the Alien isn't a touchscreen and the possibility of accidentally changing wattage is far lower. Why not have both? lol

I've got the red&black alien mod and I've been pretty happy with it. I've had for for about a month and haven't had any chipping issues but I also don't slam it around and it stays in a pocket separate from keys and change. I can't say it definitively but I believe the chipping issues are probably caused from the different ways we use our devices... some slam them around and toss them in a pocket with keys and change etc... I don't baby anything except for my DNA mods and that's only because of their price..

I have the black and blue for 2 months refused to charge via USB after the third time and paint coming off. Worst mod I've owned in 3 years of vaping. I use this mainly at home and most of time it's just on my bed. If I take it out it's kept in a pocket on its own. My aspire tank has leaked a couple of time but any leaked juice is mopped up asap and now fill tank up away from alien in case of leaking. That above shouldn't happen I have never dropped this mod. I think it's coming off when it gets to warm and with heat of hands. It's my only thoughts as to why paint is coming off. You could literally rub it off with fingers. .

smok are my favourite mod maker right now, seriously. They stuffed up a bit with the alien colours and durability initially, but i believe that is fixed now.
it's a fantastic mod with the best vape info of any mod I've ever seen. it's heavy though, although very ergonomic to hold and trigger.
For those who love ergonomics and built in batteries and don't need huge wattage, may I suggest the osub 80w kit? It is SO comfy to hold and built so solidly, as well as taking 24.5mm flush and having much better 510 than joyetech stuff. 25mm overhang is so small i don't think even the pickiest will care about it (same as alien and g priv).
My favourite colour in the alien is the gun metal btw.
Osub has been very overlooked and the colourful ones are now almost out of stock everywhere, with just the silver and black remaining. if you like the feel of the presa but want something built with a much higher quality, you'll love the osub. it has all the features of the alien, just with a smaller screen and a lot less money for full kit. No amps display but that's not necessary with built in battery on 80w mod. All the vaping modes and other options are there :)
